As in I wrote the payment in full today! So excited!  Is it wrong that I am IN LOVE with my photographer????

    Jennifer, I saw a photo similar to my siggy before the wedding and told my photog that I'd to get one like it. I died of happiness when I saw it.

    Who did you end up booking?

    I'm another Leah bride!  We LOVE her too!!!!  Hopefully doing our full engagement shoot in a few weeks!  Congrats!

    Congrats!!! That's a great big check!

    So now we have our date finalized in June 2011, photographers are MY next check.
    And so I've been paying close attention to any posts of pro pics and comments. JenniferCandy and Noodle - can I ask why you chose your photographer? I checked out Leah's work previously and it looks really good. Photographs are really important to me, less so to FI but I'm working on it with him!

    And Shazzie - I'm totally adding that "peeking over the bouquet" to my shot list -it's awesome! Who was your photographer?

    We were *really* particular about photography.  FI has a photographic background, so we really wanted someone good, but we didn't have too large a budget.  I scoured the blogs and made a list of all the photographers I liked (came up with about 25 or so!).  Checked their galleries/blogs, narrowed it down to like 10 that we really liked.  Contacted for quotes/availability and a lot of them were way too expensive (Lexi Photography?  I wish I could afford her!). 

    We ended up meeting with 2 photographers, and we LOVED Leah right off the bat!  She has a great personality and we really wanted someone who knows her stuff.  She loves what she does and takes awesome photos.  In fact, we thought her photos were as good as photographers who charge twice as much.  The next day we met with another photographer and she was very passive, not assertive.  We wanted someone who would take care of everything so we didn't have to worry about it.  AFter meeting the second one, we IMMEDIATELY booked Leah.  We just knew she'd do an awesome job.

    We did a mini-engagement shoot with Leah in the winter to make our Save the Dates and we had so much fun!  And got some AMAZING photos.  She is just great!  I highly recommend her!!!  (you can see our photos on her blog, search for LIGER).

    Oh, and the way we found Leah is that she photographed a coworker's wedding, and their photos were amazing as well!!!

    This! HAHAHA I don't have much more to add except. . . her pictures just popped at me.  After I met with her I got "that feeling"  like everyone talks about having with the dress.  She was really down to earth, had a fantastic sense of humor, and HUGE sense of fun.  Super important to me.  Worth her weight x 2 in gold (she isn't very big LOL.)

    She also thinks outside the box.  We are having our lifestyle shoot at Kimball's Farm in Westford so I can get pics of us in wearing our wedding clothes in the bumper boats.

    Also she only does one wedding a weekend so as not to burn out and to be able to process your photos quickly.  Reasonably priced, Designer style.  Clearly LOVES what she does.  

    Her blog is hysterical and informative. 

    Noodle . . .I knew I liked you!! You are my photographer twin!  ETA:  YOU are the girl with the colgate smile!  LOVED your photos!

    Congrats!! That is a huge check!  We met with Leah and came really close to booking with her. She is really sweet, loves her job, and has great work! Although we didn't end up booking with her, I still read her blog and she comments on my FB page from time to time. She is such a doll :)
