You can get like....lips that go around it?  So it's not completely covered, but partially.  It's enough to keep some of the litter in.  You can also get high sided boxes.

Your cats mustbe huge though.  We have a covered box, and the opening is like 9 inches by 18 inches.

[QUOTE]J, could you cordon off Minka while the roomba was doing its business?  You can set the roomba to only go in particular rooms too- that way she'd have safe havens.

Is it quiet?  If it was quiet, it would probably be ok.  If it makes noise, she'd probably hide under the bed until we turned it off (no matter where it was).

Holly, sounds like a good day for a braid.

  • My cat used to kick litter all over until I got an automatic box cleaner. It was awesome. I would murder my firstborn for a roomba.

Guys, I just took Lucy over to the people's house, and I FORGOT HER FOOD. WTF.

<div>I have cat litter all over my room because that is where one of the boxes is.  I've given up on the shedding thing.  I clean it up so it's not everywhere, but my Phoenix (my girl cat) and Paisley (dog) shed like nobody's business.  I've tried brushing Phoenix, but she can barely sit still long enough to get her back nails clipped (she's declawed on the front).  And Paisley does not sit still for anything.  </div><div>

  • Holly, that's why God gave us ballerina buns.

J, No it's pretty loud, but it's a white noise kind of loud.

Snippy, that's really annoying.  Do you have to go back and bring her more, or can they just buy her some and you pay them back when you return?

<div>We have a big walk-in closet off the mudroom where their box is. They even have a little kitty door so they can get in/out without the main door being open. In fact, Glinda will still use HER door even if you are going in there, too, and the people door is open. She's a nut. So the litter is MOSTLY in there, but it does get drug out into the mudroom. They shed freakin EVERYWHERE.</div>

<div>BIG kitties! Glinda (the Munchkin) is about 6 lbs and Em is about 11. Em used to be a super fatty but vet put her on diet food. We got her at the pound, so don't really know how old she is/her background. She is a nice, nice cat. So is Glin, but she's kind of a spaz.</div>

  • I am allergic, and I have asthma on top of it. I've discussed it with my supervisor, but she feels powerless to enact a "no scented products" policy. (I also have bad reactions to scented lotions, hand sanitizers, Glade plug-ins, etc.) I tried talking to my co-worker, but she rolled her eyes and said, "You're just sensitive. You'll get used to it." Yeah. Okay.

FI and I have been in talks lately since he just got a huge raise. I've been considering a new career for a long time, and he keeps telling me I should just peace out of there and do whatever I want until I figure things out. Today is one of those days I'm seriously considering taking him up on that offer.
  • I jsut don't understand people.  If someone told me my perfume was hazardous to their health, I'd feel awful

  • Phoenix and Sam both eat the same food because I have to feed Sam a special diet for his urinary issues.  My vet says that Phoenix is fine at this weight.  She is a big cat to begin with.  I've tried to get her to lose weight before, but it doesn't stick.  She is getting a balanced diet with the food she's eating, and that's the main thing.

Sam got so big because he didn't get neutered until he was about 2 years old.  And he kept growing even after that.  But it is all muscle.

  • That's part of the reason we got a small dog. :) She's actually bigger than I thought she would get.
  • Tex, I wasn't implying your kitties were not healthy or well-cared for or anything. Didn't want you to think that. Some kitties are just bigger! There is this one in our neighborhood that is outside a lot when I go walking. He is HUGE. I bet he weighs close to 17-18 lbs. Super friendly, too. He hangs out by their garage doors but when we walk by, he comes out to the end of the driveway to say hi and get some love.

Glad that worked out, Snip. One less thing to do now since you don't have to run back over there. BTW, I love your wedding dress. The bodice is so cool.

Ha! I almost typed that exact phrase. :)

Texas - I'm a psychiatrist in a group home. We have inpatient and outpatient services.
  • I'm trying to decide what color to paint my toes: teal, waikiki orange or blue. Decisions, decisions.
  • I had to come in to work for a spell. Yuck. But TK is way better on this pc than on my ipad.

Snippy, at least you didn't pack the cat food in your luggage. I wind up so scatterbrained when it isn't normal schedule - that would be the weird thing I would do. I hope you have a fantastic trip!

I am going home again, and was messaging with a friend looking for a car. I remembered seeing someone post here about it and then had to find it. Glo - good luck on the vehicle!

Holly no a/c is making me cringe. I hope they repair quickly

We have eternal reminders to not spray perfume at our location, Wrigley. There is one person I specifically am thinking of that doesn't adhere. Our ER always refers 'sprayers' to utilize the restrooms to refresh. I don't understand that at all. While I agree it shouldn't be affecting everyone on an open floor, I don't think the answer is spraying in an enclosed space!
