Hairstyle suggestions for thin hair?

Hey guys,
Let me start off this post by telling you a little bit about my hair.  It is dark brown, long (about 4 inches past my shoulder) and really thin.  Its natural texture is wavy, but not a pretty supermodel on the beach wave, instead a thin, stringy wave.  Anyways, I'm looking for hairstyle suggestions for thin hair.

Ideally I'd like to wear my hair either all down or in a half updo.  I want to have suggestions to show the hairstylist when I go but I'm coming up empty.  Everything I see I think "that wouldn't work with my thin hair" 

So help?!  Please.  lol

    From what you are describing my sister has hair likes yours. We are doing a cute side messy bun with a flower clip. That way the hair is out of her face but not flying around either.

    I have long, thin hair as well.  My salon recommended clip in extensions for an all down or half updo.

    I have long VERY thick hair and I'm still doing clip in extensions for my half updo!  I think that they might be a great solution for you, from what you're describing.  They really make anyone's hair look better if you get the right ones and they're in right.

    I also have very thin, fine, hair.  I used clip-in extensions for my half-up do. I wear extensions regularly so it was not weird for me to use extensions for my wedding.  If I had not used extensions, I would have done a low updo--this was my inspiration picture.

    I think a loose updo with some curls around the face would look beautiful.  Dress it up with a flower or something in the hair.

    You can also do clip in hair extensions if you want to wear your hair down.  That is what I am doing.
