Is my dress too plain?

I bought my dress 3 weeks ago, and I felt great in it. But now I am getting scared that it's too plain and boring. What do you think?

Re: Is my dress too plain?

  • I think it's beautiful but I would have the seamstress sew in the sash so the strings aren't hanging in the back.

Dress regret is normal, stop looking, your dress is seriously really pretty and you look stunning in it.
  • I don't think it's too boring at all. I might be biased, as I had a dress with no "bling" too.

Remember, jewelry can work wonders to personalizing your look! Wink
  • I thiknk it is gorgeous and you look woderful in it.

I agree with PP, use jewelry to make it yours.

  • I don't think its too plain. Its big and poofy and looks great on you. If you felt great in it don't doubt it.
  • Not at all! I'm in love with a  similar dress and I think the "wow" factor comes from the dress shape and not necessarily the fabric or amount of beads/jewels/appliques. You can always add more sparkle with jewelry too.
  • I love your dress and definitely don't think it's too plain.  It looks amazing on you - your waist is so tiny!  If you want to add something to it, another idea would be to get a sash with more bling, beading or something on it (ie a rosette).

  • I agree with PPs, your dress is gorgeous and you look happy in it!
I had huge buyer's remorse after purchasing my dress, but in the end I think I just missed dress shopping!  No regrets, you look beautiful!
  • Thank you everyone!

I really appreciate the reassurance. I am now dedicated to NOT looking at any more dresses and just being happy with mine. I think maybe its just hard to not see it again and try to imagine it as amazing as it was when I first tried it on!
  • No way! Your dress is so pretty! I too was having regret after purchasing my dress and I finally realized it's just because it was such a big purchase and I was overanalyzing. It is not too simple, but wearing some headpiece/veil or jewelry may make you feel better. Remember, YOU make the dress, not the dress itself!
