Ok...one last shower question.. what were your favorite games and why, also what games did you hate and why..either as the bride or a guest.  Thanks!

As a MOH, I put on a shower for a bride, and my favorite game was splitting everyone up in teams, then they cut out pictures from magazines and made collages.  I made a list of things to find like "ring, lingerie, dress, bed, etc." and the first team done won.  It was a good game to get people talking together (especially if they don't already know each other), and she had fun collages as a souvenir from her party.

MBP - I like that idea, never heard of that before!  = )

Here are a few idea's that a co-worker sent me, when I was planning a shower for someone else...

    White Stuff
Fill sandwich bags with the following cooking items: flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, baking soda, powdered sugar, cornstarch, cream of tartar, powdered milk, unflavored gelatin, Bisquick, Tide. Number each bag and keep a list. Guests are allowed to feel and look at the bag, but not open it. They guess what is in each bag. The person with the most answers gets the prize.

    Bride's Auction
Hold an auction.... Go to a discount/dollar store and purchase a bunch of inexpensive door prizes. Wrap them up in different ways so you can't tell what they are (a little gift in a big box for example). Each guest starts with an envelope with about $15 of play money in an envelope. Give everyone the chance to win a few more dollars but asking to be shown items that they may have in their purse (a tube of lipstick, a kleenex, etc) Each item is worth another dollar. Being bidding each item at $1 with a true or crazy clue to what the prize is (A box of kleenex could be something like, Don't cry for me Argentina... Who will bid $1? Highest bidder wins the prize....

Honeymoon Basket - You ask everyone on their invitation to Bring 1 small item that can be used on the Honeymoon. It can be practical, comical, eatable, etc.(examples: condoms, film, wine, candy, bubble bath, aspirin, hand cuffs). Have a large basket at the door that the guest can put their item in. After the Bride has opened all her gifts, give this to her, and have her show everybody what she got.

The Price is Right - There were 10 items and everyone had 10 pieces of paper and a marker. Everyone guessed the price of each item individually and who ever got it or was closest, got to keep the item.

    HTH!  = )

I just had my shower on saturday and we played Wedding Pictionary. It was sooooo much fun and entertaining. Everyone loved it! Then the other games was I had to leave the room while no one was paying attention and they had to guess everything that I was wearing down to the T then they added up who had themost right.

I hate the dice game! Thank god it was not played at the shower.

For my other shower in a couple weeks my aunt is playing a game of guess whats in the brides purse and then some wedding veil game you have to make out of stuff in a basket. We'll see how that one goes.

This wasn't exactly a game, but it was the thing I liked best at my shower. My cousin wrapped a bunch of household products like Joy, Shout, Mr Clean, etc. She read a letter to me about being a wife and each time she paushed I opened one of the numbered packages. The item inside was the next word in the story, like "he isn't exacly Mr Clean. Everybody loved it!
