Help me think of happy things!

Our flights are finally booked for Friday. We'll get in really late, but there we will be!

I'm nervous and anxious and happy and... pretty much everything, all at the same time.

Re: Help me think of happy things!

  • Oooh! Doritos and cheddar cheese!! Good call Mrs! :D

It's not that I'm not happy to be going it's that I'm feeling that PLUS everything else. Nerves, anxiety, excited.. everything, all rolled up into one.

Rach, I started doing some stuff around the house, but when are you moving?
  • Yay, Amoro!

You can be happy for me that I did my weekly weigh in and I lost 4.5lbs!

Not that I expect you to be excited over that, but that makes me happy. :)

Mid-June, end of June-ish. We don't know for sure yet, which makes it more annoying...But we have so much stuff. And I've never moved out of state--so, I'm not sure how to do it (i.e. is it worth it to move everything we own?). Part of me wants to start going through all of our stuff now and getting rid of things we don't need...but I don't know where to start. So, I'm ignoring it instead.

  • Start with the spare bedroom and closet.

Pack away all your winter clothes and coats, scarves etc. If you are moving yourself, I recommend Hefty Trash bags for these (label so they aren't accidently thrown out.)

  • Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens!

Umm...you get to decorate a new place? That's my favorite thing about moving :)

  • Yep! I am proud of your for your weight loss!! That's awesome!

Rach, we move friday, and just got everything set today. So yeah, I know that feeling. But, I got rid of just about everything. Get rid of the furniture unless it's sentimental. It's so much easier to just start over. :)
  • I'd much rather start over! Plus, I think our moving company charges by weight--so, the less we move, the cheaper it will be.

[QUOTE]MOOSE! That's awful!! I can't imagine! How did you get on the plane?! Can you even have drinks? I am trying to be excited about it. I'm thinking the fact that most of this wasn't even finalized until literally today, was making it more tense. Acid reflux anyone? Oh, but I just realized this is probably one of those LJ-ish posts people have been saying I've been making lately?

Damn, does that mean I have to stop caring? Because frankly I'm kind of excited for your move.

Aw! Thanks Manda! But, I think you should pretend to not care, or wag your finger at me for talking about stuff that's going on in my life! HOW DARE I?!
  • Fine, I don't care. Except if I ever visit Sweden while you're living there, then I will care. But only for as long as I visit!
  • That's the spirit! If you do get close, you have to let me know though. Not that I care. ;)

    Love the new pic. :D
  • H was with me, but I was so embarassed. (I'm back now). It was entertaining checking into the hotel considering I'd booked it. I had my passport though which is very helpful in getting on planes and proving who I am. Haha.

It's just H had to pay for EVERYTHING while we were there. And I drank a lot.

  • Thanks! I've been trying to get the Paris pictures up but this is really the first chance I've had. (Not that I care what you think.)

Aaaaand in the spirit of LJ-ing, I'm running away from my desk now because I just got blind copied on an email that's going to cause some serious yelling and screaming in a cube near me.

    Agree. Completely. :D
  • I care, and I feel ya, because I just moved Sunday and am soooo happy I never ever ever have to move again! We got rid of so much stuff it was just unbelievable and I donated about 4 trash bags worth of clothes to Goodwill. I got to the point Friday night where I was just thinking "I can't do this anymore, I can't pack anymore" and was ready to pay a friend to come throw the rest of my stuff in a big box and call it a day.
Yay for moving, just think of what's waiting on the other side :)
