Re: Ladies and gentlemen...I present to you...

• Was the Jesus pose intentional? hahaha Slanket love.
• It looks like a snuggie?

• I'm putting it out there: I'm anti-slanket & anti-snuggie. I don't care if I'm flamed, those things are lame!!

• Is it essentially the same thing as a Snuggie, but with a different name?

• I bow down to thee, oh great Slanket lord!

;P

PS: Is it seriously called a Slanket?!

• HEY APPLE GREEN, that rhymes!!!!!
• apple, I got a snuggie a couple weeks ago at my work Christmas party and honestly, it's very nice! Warm but not too hot, and I can still read with my arms covered up. :)

• Ok...I think this may be the invention that this guy my gay bff was dating. He told him the name and he laughed at him and the relartionship started to come to an end.

I love my Snuggie! My only complaint is that it collects a LOT of static electricity and shocks the hell out of me whenever I take it off. Must be the material.
image
• The Slanket came first and is better quality material than the snuggie. But yes...same concept. Snuggie copied the Slanket.

And I wholeheartedly agree that they are lame. Lame and brilliant. It's great for someone like me who is always cold and our throw blankets don't cover me enoug nor give me ability to use my hands and stay warm at the same time.

Yes, Capri--the pose was intentional! =)

• I want a snuggie in the worst way.
• I maintain that I much prefer making myself a dress out of my comforter. Until they make the Sleeping Bag Snuggie, it's definitely not going to be warmer than Comforter Dress.

Hey rho, I think this is the first time we're both around since you got married! Congrats!

• When they do blind tests, people prefer the slanket to the snuggie. ;-)

From the wikipedia--
The Slanket was created by Gary Clegg (before the Snuggie) in Maine in 1998 using a sleeping bag. Clegg's mother made him a blanket with a single sleeve for use in his cold dorm room. Clegg later developed that into the Slanket with two sleeves.

Not too far off! Just think of how many things we've all been just an idea away from inventing...

And thanks for the congrats! =)

• I bought my Mom a Snuggie for Christmas. She's going to pretend to hate it, and then I'm sure she'll wear it all the time.

• Apple, absolutely! :)
• I confess... DH bought me one for our anniversary! We weren't planning to exchange presents (and I didn't buy him anything),but he came across it while he was out that day and had to buy it for me. He knew that I'd been laughing about it every time we saw it on tv -- half in amazement at how lame it is, but also half wanting it.

And I'll further confess... I really like mine. And it's purpleTongue out

• Santa is bringing Snuggies to the entire family. I could not be more excited! The teenager hates Santa for it, but I know once she gets hers she'll be the one wearing it all the time around the house. Then Santa will say "I told you so!"
