Are my Spartacus fans here?

    I watched, I watched!

    Um I miss Andy Whitfield...a lot.  The new guy doesn't have that gritty edge he did.

    And they changed Spartacus' lady friend (the actress), which threw me off. 

    I loved seeing all the 'old' people back.  Blondie's husband is punishing the isht out of her moving them into House of Batiatus (sp?).   I wonder if Lucy Lawless is going to turn on her before the season is out.

    I don't like how out of control everything seems.  It's a little too chaotic with no reason. The violence on the show has never bothered me, but the violence seems to be without the purpose/reasoning it had in previous seasons.  Does that make sense />

    She's the same lady-friend. I caught the last ep of the first season the other night - she didn't change. 

    I agree with you about them being all over the place. Why are we taking every slave ever and looking for Navia? Why are we taking all the slaves and battling Glaber (Illythia's husband)? Like, shouldn't they have beat feet out of Capua by now?

    And who stitched up Lucretia? 

    I have so many questions.

    I also think New Guy is missing something. I hope he settles into the role better, but I wonder if they looked more for someone who resembled Andy Whitfield physically than someone who would bring a similar edge to the role.

    He's ok. He looks a lot like Andy, but he is definitely not as good as Andy was. I'm intrigued though.  We will see how the season progresses. I'm glad Lucy's character is alive. I thought they were going to make her a ghost whic would have been kind of predictable.

    Exactly Bmom.  There's so many unanswered questions.  And why are they sticking around to torment Capua?  There's mountains to hide out in, yo.  Other places to visit.  I guess they want to 'get back' at their captors?

    And yeah, Ilythia's (thanks for knowing all the names...I alway watch the show and think I'll remember and I never do), husband has been a non-entity, so what the what?

    I'm wondering if there were slave girls that didn't get killed and stayed at the House of Batiatus and that's who tended to Lucretia?

    They said spartcus was waiting b/c he was hoping the'd send Glaber/. He's the one who started all this and enslaved Spartacus.

    Well, yeah, I understand Spartacus staying and waiting for Glaber, but I don't understand everyone else staying with him. This is a personal grudge - like looking for Navia is personal for what's-his-face. (Gannicus? Is that right? The old champion guy.) I don't understand why all these other people are hanging around to help these guys with their personal issues instead of heading for safety.

    True story.

    But they probably want to get back the nobles for being enslaved.  And Spartacus freed them so maybe they feel they owe him a debt and sticking around is how they're going pay it? 

    I seriously wonder if these issues would be clearer if AW was still on the show.

    BM - It's Crixus.  I think the slaves are staying around b/c they are slaves. Most of them spent their whole lives having someone else tell them what to do.  They have chosen Spartacus (or Crixus) as their leader so they do what he says.  Also it seems like every slave that escapes gets caught, tortured and executed.
