Hi Ladies!
It almost 5am and I have been up finishing some last minute wedding stuff so I figured I should write this now since I won’t have time to do so before Sunday.
We made it to South Florida today from Atlanta. And tomorrow most of my family will be arriving in town, I also have to drop some last minute stuff off at the venue and then I have a Brazilian appt. It’s going to be my first time getting it done, so I’m really hoping I don’t scream or chicken out. Friday we have our rehearsal, rehearsal dinner and then my bachelorette party. Saturday I plan to recover, have a spa day and get mentally prepared for Sunday.
Sunday is my wedding day. I honestly can’t believe it is really here. I have been engaged for 13 months, and I have loved every minute of it. Especially since I found the Knot and the AAW board. You ladies have been so supportive and uplifting and have allowed me to be excited when other people were over “my” wedding. When the long distance between FI & I was killing me you guys reminded me to be faithful and trusting in the Lord and prayed for me.
And ultimately even though I have complained about the BM issues, the budget, guest lists, RSVPs etc it has all been worth it because on Sunday I get to marry my love and my rib.
I remember thinking how May 20th would never get here and now here it is just 3 days away.
The last couple of weeks I’ve been stressing and obsessing over if everything will turn out the way I dreamed and envisioned. I know what my wedding should look like but do my vendors. Today as I was freaking out over the color change a vendor made to our chiavari chair cushions. Like serious meltdown and my little sister out of nowhere told me, your wedding will be beautiful Princess so the cushion colors don’t really matter much. I asked her how did she know, and she said because this is the only time you have all the people you love and all the people who love you in the same room at the same time. She said the next time will be at your funeral, and you won’t be able to enjoy it. So what is more beautiful than you spending time with everyone you love. It’s crazy cause I’m the big sister, but my 16 year old sister put my wedding in perspective. Who would have thought.
To wrap it up….I’m so excited I got to share my planning experience with my knottie sistahs, I can’t wait to share my recaps and pics.
**BRE** I hope you have an amazing wedding day date twin!!
