Help! Affordable Rehersal Dinner Location

My future Mother in Law is in charge of this, and I've been under the impression she had a place booked. We spoke today and she told me that she doesn't know what to do because she can't find a place under 2K and the wedding is in 2.5 months...
I'm thinking "breath....don't panic!"  Ahhh!
SO, I told her I'd see if I could find some places. I have no idea what her budget is. But if anyone could recommend a place within 10 miles of midtown for $700 or less for ~50 ppl I'd really appreciate it!

    We're having our rehearsal dinner at Publik in Midtown (next to the Fox). They have a room upstairs that they don't charge a rental fee for (shocking), and the food is fairly inexpensive. You may also want to check out Baraonda. Good luck!
