OM effing G!!!

Ok so well we are under contract for selling our house.  We had the appraisal last week, and got the results yesterday.  I was effing pissed off!  First of al it is the MIDDLE of winter here in MN.  Well the buyers had a loan (VA LOAN) and the appraiser said that the deck has to be stained.  They also said that a garage door has to be replaced.  Oh and that a screen on  a door has to be replaced...

Well i had all week off and today i ran to the Home Depot/Menards where I got looks like I was a crazy person staining during the middle of winter.... BUT i  DID!  And it actually looks like it dried and looks OK.... So hopefully it is all good now for closing! 

SO yes I spent my entire day staining the deck in 20 degree weather -  a little ridiculous but its done!

Oh and I may have had a few drinks while doing it to stand the cold weather! :)

    Good for you! You probably couldn't have paid me enough to do something like that in the bitter cold, so props to you! :) At least you had something to keep you company. ;)

    Wow girl! Major props for doing it yourself! In 20 degree weather no doubt. I'm a Texas girl so I can't function in anything under 50 degrees! lol.

    LOL well i think the drinks kind of helped make it go faster :) ... I was more concerned that it wouldn't dry or that it would flake off - so I hope and pray that it sticks...  IT is just SOOO stupid becasue if it was real  winter here there would be three feet of snow and the F'ing appraiser wouldn't have known that the deck wasn't stained (which it would have been but we didn't know we were going to be putting our house on the market in the middle of winter)  .....  ANYWAYS! IT is hopefully done!  Fingers crossed!

    :)   OH and I upgraded our room for Vegas from a standard strip veiw to a one bedroom suite :)  As a surprise to FI :)  I know he'll be shocked!

    lol I wouldnt know anything about 20 degree weather. Im from Louisiana and we dont see that kind of weather here!  I think 40 degrees is cold so I couldnt even imagine being in 20 degree weather.  I would have to have  A LOT of drinks in me and then the deck would probably look worse.. My hats off to ya cause I couldnt have done it!!!

    Yikes... that's so awesome you were able to get that all done on such short notice!! Hope the rest of closing goes well!!

    (BTW... isn't it crazy that we've had such little snow all winter?? I'm SO SO scared that the warm weather we've been having early in the winter will mean winter will run later in 2012... aka March/April!! :( )

    SHHHHHHHH lol.  I'm just hoping there isn't a snow storm during our March 31st wedding.  We didn't even have snow for Christmas.  It snowed a little yesterday and it's suppose to warm back up in the 40's for the rest of the week.  I'm so afraid of what the weather is to come.
