Honeymoon destination

I was told there are places to avoid in late october, down south.  Does anyone know where it will be good to go for the honeymoon in terms of weather?  we want someplace nice and hot.

    Well, hurricane season runs until November 1st - we just got travel insurance - We are going to the Dominican Republic - its beautiful and is priced really resonably:)

    Hurricane season's actually May 1 - December 1. But yeah, we're risking it but have travel insurance, too.

    Like PPs said, it is hurricane season and rainy season. You could end up with beautiful weather still. I'm too much of a worrier so we aren't going until December 1st (Punt@ Cana). When looking I was told that Aruba doesn't get hurricanes/rain as much as other places. Go through a travel agency . . . ours helped us so much!

    We're also taking our chances and going to Puerto Rico.  FI was born and raised there and I have never been.  We are also having a reception, per se, down there for all of his family that will not be attending the wedding.

    You said "down south".  Are you speaking of the Carribean or Southern U.S.?

    If you are really concerned you could go to Aruba. That being said, the odds of running into a hurricane are slim. We booked Secrets Maroma in Mexico, which is their worst month for hurricanes. We just got insurance.

    Rainy season in Costa Rica, but like the others, we just got travel insurance and will be keeping our fingers crossed that the weather is perfect :)
