yeah it's overrated, but when he's done something thoughful every year, until you are married, it's a little disapointing. Ditto about going out to eat. I don't deal well with crowds.

Rene, seriously!  Oh and remember how I told you I was getting beaten by my BIL's GF?  Turns out I beat her!  I have absolutely no idea how I pulled that out at the end.  I was like, "What the crap?" But it made me feel good.  But once again, she's beating me.  It was like for the first half of the game, I was getting really good letters and then now I'm getting all vowels and weird consonants and she's kicking my a$$.  Lame.

And you know, my V-day wasn't that bad.  And I always think how much I'd rather stay in and cook and not have to be out among all those couples at the restaurants with a limited menu.  But I do think I'd like for Steve to take me out sometime soon.  I can't remember the last time we went on a nice date.

I understand why you would be disappointed. If it were me, I would tell him that it's fine if he doesn't want to celebrate vday, but he has to pick another day to do something really nice and thoughtful

Actually, I do remember the last time.  Proof is in my sig pic.  It was our anniversary.  Way too long.  I should probably bring that up.

I have enjoyed playing some of my students in words with friends (and I think I beat most of them).  However, it blocks things that are really words but then allows gobbledy gook (or Latin).  I think Bill just put it on his iPhone--I just need to remember my screen name.  :-)

Sour grapes at the Olympics is always so endearing....

“I was positive that I won. But I suppose Evan needs a medal more than I do,” Plushenko said through a translator. “Maybe it’s because I already have one. But I have to share with you, two silver and one Olympic gold medal is not too bad.”

Sorry to bring up Twilight stuff, but I think Renesmee is a stupid name.

What's the deal with people making a peace sign next to their face everytime someone takes a picture of them?

My SIL's boyfriend does this in 90% of his pictures and I think it looks incredibly stupid.  Okay, I think he's stupid in general, so that's part of the reason why I hate it, but still, does it mean anything?

Steph, I've always wondered that as well.  Also, I don't get the "duckface" look at all.

And Renesmee is the stupidest name ever.  When I read Breaking Dawn I couldn't believe Stephenie Meyers was an actual writer who made it big.  Her writing is pretty horrendous.  But I just couldn't stop reading those damn books.

Ok, I'm one of those peace sign people. I can't help it. I kind of get flustered when a picture is about to be taken and I don't know what to do with my hands and for some reason throw up a peace sign. It's totally stupid, I know. Ugh, I either do that or make some totally ridiculous face. I'm not photogenic.
Oh and I have to say I hate it when you're with girls and it's time to take the "look sexy" picture....umm...no idea how to look the slightest bit sexy without looking in the mirror. My on-the-spot sexy face looks more like Zoolander's Blue Steel.

Cheryl, at least you don't throw up gang signs or give the camera the finger Smile

I know what you mean about the "look sexy" picture. I personally prefer just to look myself. If you look at our wedding pictures, you won't find one "sensual" picture in there. I just can't do it. I'm me in my pictures...that's the best I can give a photographer.

bdette-- Who doesn't like to rep the West Siiiiide in their pictures? what what. (Just kidding folks....or am I?)

Mariah--I can't help but want to pronounce Renesmee as Ren-ez-meeee. She was truly uncreative there. That's like me saying "Hmm, I want to blend our mother's names together. Let's see...Josey and Maria.......Marijoseya!" <--That's a better name than Renesmee.

Knot girls---get off Words with Friends and get back on the knot!

I flip off the camera when I don't want one of me printed.

Example: an amateur photographer was taking pictures for our lobby shots for a show I was doing in Denton.  He was "testing the light," but I wasn't prepared yet, so I just held up my middle finger while he tested the light so he wouldn't use any terrible pictures of me.

Plushenko is ugly. What a sore loser, even if he did skate well.

I don't understand why anyone would put a boudoir portrait that includes their face/name online (nobody here). Ummm...what if a coworker finds it? And do you really want that special gift to your husband added to someone's porn collection.

To clarify, I have seen some tasteful ones that were okay (like Shananigan's)--I'm talking about the really skanky ones only a husband should see

I have no idea who that red headed guy everyone keeps talking about is, and I am too lazy to google him to find out!

I want to beat buttercup, because I am so jealous of how HOT she looks in her siggy pictures!

    Shanda,
I don't think he's very cute either--I don't like guys with long hair.  IMO, you aren't missing much.

BTW, how are you holding up?
