Check - reception wine.

FI and I picked out and started making our reception wine. We're going with a Reisling-Gewurtzeminer for the white (seriously SO good - if you've never had it before go it a bottle. Like now) and Merlot for the red. 

We found a store that does co-ops so each week one white and one red is featured and it so much cheaper since tons other people are making those wines as well. And on top of that we'll have plenty left over for ourselves!

    It's so much cheaper for us to make it and then just pay a corking fee than it is to get it from the venue. Their wine starts at $25 a bottle, and with our co-op wine it ends up being $4.85 a bottle (so with the corking fee $14.85). We'll have about 10 bottles of both red and white left for us after the wedding which is awesome!

    Congrats on the check! We are also doing our own wine, for favors, but my dad is making it, he does every year, he will just make a little extra for us, and then we just have to bottle it, cork it(he has the machine that does it) and then slap a label on it=)
