Re: Sliver sequin tablecloth - impossible !

  • How do you feel about making your own?  You'll probably have better luck with looking for fabric than the tablecloths, though I did find tablecloths by googling "silver sequin tablecloths."  At $100ish each, though, I doubt you want them.

You might also consider a sparkly organza overlay instead of the sequins.  It will be much cheaper and easier to find.
  • Try Table Toppers of Newton. They're pricey, but they may well have what you're lookng for.

  • If this is exactly what you want, my recommendation would be to buy the fabric and make table runners, which are narrower and will cost less.

I found everything out of the ordinary for my wedding by using google. I googled "Silver sequin fabric" and found these links:

Fabric like that is not going to be easy to find. Most "sequined fabrics" are simply dots on fabric to make it shiny, not actual sequins.

I made table runners for our wedding out of 84" long curtains. They were 84" long, and 12-14" wide for a round table of 60 inches. The "drop" on each end was 12 inches.

Most fancy fabrics like that come in 54-60" widths. From that you could get 3-4 widths of table runner. So, using math, for every 2 yards of fabric (72" long, which would leave a 6 inch drop on each end of a 60" round table) you would be getting 3-4 table runners. Most of these fancier fabrics will probably be $20 a yard, unless you can find them at Joann's or Michael's and use a discount coupon. It would be costing you $40 for 3-4 table runners tha you are making.

So, having done the math, your best bet might be to rent table runners that look like that. They might be around $10 each, but much easier than searching for the fabrics yourself and then making them. Having sewn for over 40 years, I have found that sewing is not always the cheaper option unless you find a really, really great deal.

    Good luck.

Thank you so much !! xo
  • I have been having the same problem!! But finally today ran across some that will work.... It isn't exaclty like your picture (I wanted the same look) but I'm sure this will do. I purchased the fabric and will sew them together. Hope this helps you.:)

ps its also the cheapest I found for real sequins.
  • I was really happy with what I bought at thegoldennapkin.com The golden tafetta has a good amount of sequins and is available in silver. Will cost about $50 per table, which is less than the rental price at most places, then you can resell. Still pricey though, and not fully sequined like your photo. Just a thought.

This is the website to rent that exact table cloth.  From what it looks like they will ship them to whereever you are.

I have been looking for this look forever and finally found it! Its pricy though ... 134" Round = $65.00

    Collection = Dolce
    Linen Name= New York
    Lots of different colors available.

    Good Luck. Smile
  • May I ask what you ended up using? I found this EXACT image online and want to do something very similar for my 02.02.2013 Wedding, but the Linens at La Travola are just over my budget :(

  • I am wanting the same look! Did anyone have any success or has found a new source?
  • Does anyone that had sequin tablecloths at their wedding have any comments or reviews about them? Did any guest complain about catching anything on them or were there no problems? Considering buying them and wanted to get some feedback. Thanks!
  • @maddoxward - it would probably be best to start a completely new post for your question, rather then piggy backing off of an over year old thread.
