Happy Monday

Who's hung over?  Or was hung over?

The weekend is a blur of first world problems.

There were a lot of other little things on Saturday that ended in a 30 min cry fest in the shower.  Followed by DH taking 1 and 2 on an outing while I snuggled Max on the couch and napped.

Sunday was Church then a trip to the mall play area.  It was busy I was sitting on the bench with Max next to some plastic bags.  Not ON the bags but yes next to them.  It was busy.  Seating was limited.  The woman that owned the bags came back all huffy, and sat on my left thigh.  I scooted over and she proceeded to elbow my 3 more times.  I was so dumbfounded I just got up and moved.  Of course her boys are hellions.  Of course that's who 6let wants to play with.

Then it was just board games and the a-boom show (America's Funniest Home Videos)  and bed. If anyone needs ideas for the 4 yo set Sneaky Snacky Squirrel and Busytown are awesome.

Did I mention M2 turned 2?!  You'll have to turn your head.

  • I loved your birthday pics.  So cute!

Our weekend alone turned into a weekend alone with DD2.  She wasn't feeling well, so she stayed home with us.

It was alright.  Still quiet.  Not a bad weekend.
  • I loved your new pics from this weekend.  6let is your mini-me, M2 is Mr. 6's mini-me, and Max is the perfect mix.  I want to snuggle Max's big old bald head when he busts out those adorable grins.  :)

Weekend was OK.  Friday, we went out and had a nice dinner.  The sitter had parent's night out and the kiddo was at a friend's house, so it was just the 2 of us with no interruptions.

DefConn's been pretty ornery lately.  I think between being sick, DH going back to work, and we were both so on edge last week, we wound that kid up and spun him out.  I think we all really slept the best we had in a week on Friday night.

DH is already getting calls from his guys.   They need to get him a company-paid phone stat.

We went to a friend's surprise bday party Saturday.  DefConn made friends with a little blonde and tried to hug and kiss her a lot.  And then steal her trike.  He was actually in a super-friendly mood and hugging everyone.  Also, he discovered the joy of a buffet table. He thought it was all for him, LOL.

DH's grandpa has a brain tumor.  They thought he was having a stroke, but that was not the case.  He's having surgery on Wednesday.  I think we'll head out to see them next month.

DH let me sleep in yesterday and it was glorious.  We went to my IL's to hang out yesterday.  DefConn was up twice last night.  I'm not sure what that was about.  I need to find some coffee.  So.tired.

awww, 2 cupcakes = the bomb.

Friday was our anniversary; we left Buffy w/ the grandparents and went up north--his mom had bought us a casino overnight package.
we gave away money, drank champange, hung out in a hot tub, ate good food, ordered room service, etc.
Saturday we drove home and the grandparents did a buffy handoff to e/o--so we had all of saturday to ourselves too.
Unfortunately, most of it was spent dealing w/ things like a broken garbage disposal and the like.  Then we watched "John Carter of Mars" (meh) and the Mr. got himself into 'a mood' and we just hung out.

Sunday we slept in, got Buffy from my folks, had lunch, and just hung out as the 3 of us, until bedtime, when I started working on work stuff.
  • Loved the M2 birthday pics you posted.

This weekend was ok. Saturday morning going to Tot Shabbat was nice. It's entirely parent run. There were 4 families that met. We also had the opportunity to meet the rabbi and the cantor and felt very welcomed. It got a little awkward at the luncheon when one of the dad's (his daughter is 22 months) asked about DD eating something. She was sitting next to me shredding a napkin, I explained without going into details about anything that we're working on eating and food "stuff." That seemed to appease him for the moment.

Sat night we went out with 2 friends and had a great time. Dinner, Playa stories and drinks.

Sunday H studied all day, I ran some errands and picked up some craft supplies for the gifts I'm making Imoan for her baby shower, and then I cleaned off my desk. DD was a stinker a lot of the day. She had a tough night last night. Multiple wake ups, the feeding pump alarm went off, just a not good night. Which translated to a hard morning this morning. She wouldn't take a bottle at all. Just wanted snuggles and Sesame Street.
  • I'll write up my St. Patrick's Day bar experience. It was interesting. Nothing else here.
  • I'm sick.

So Friday I came home from work and went to bed. Stayed in bed until Saturday night, when I felt up to going out to dinner with the fam and GayH and TheTenor. We all had a blast, and we came home and I went right back to bed.

Went to church yesterday and sang decently. Thank you, Aleve Cold and Sinus. Left early, partly because they were reading some hate letter about civil unions from the archbishop and partly because I was exhausted.

Caught up on the DVR and took a nap. At some dinner. Went to bed. I'm headed off to work in a little while, and then - you guessed it! - I'm going back to bed. I'm kind of sick of my bed.

  • Weekend was another renovation basement weekend.  I'm totally sick of it.  My husband seems to forget that I'm extremely exhausted and just sore, that I don't want to spend every weekend working on it and need to get chores and errands run on the weekends because I go to bed less than 2 hours after I get home.  I've been pretty useless, basically.

  • Oh, I didn't IMoan was knocked up.  Good for her.

We did a whole bunch of nothing this weekend.  We treated ourselves to a new board game that we'd been eyeballing and watching tutorials for on Youtube.  I think we might be ready to tackle a game this next weekend.  I'm looking forward to it.

We went to one of our favorite restaurants yesterday, that happens to be British food, run by a Welshman, so they go all out for St. Patricks.  Our bartender stopped charging up for drinks about an hour in, so he got a fat tip.  Then we went home and crashed at 3 pm, b/c that's how old folks roll when drinking.
  • Varuna - which game did you get?

My weekend was fun.  I enjoyed my alone time in the car (SILENCE for the way there, Adele for the way back) and got to spend some time with one of my best friends.  My stay was too short, but I'm glad I got to get the f out of the house.

Also at the mall play area- 6let came up to me coughing.  When he gets to active he has a hard time catching his breath and he'll start coughing.  We believe it's all part of the tonsil issue.  The woman next to me (not the elbower) started talking loudly about people brining sick kids to the play area and spreading germs.

By that point I wanted to b!tch slap anyone.  a) he's not contagious (and he was even coughing into his elbow) b) germs are just a part of any play area.  Her kid could just as easily be carrying something she just doesn't know yet.

Arkham Horrors.  It's based off of the Call of Cthulu role playing game.  It gets really rave reviews and it's not that it's incredibly difficult, there's just a lot of rules within the turns.

I have outed myself as the most mega nerd of all time on this board now.  Yes, I love table top gaming and I'm not ashamed of it!!!

That sounds a lot more intense than Crazy 8s.

DH totally plays Call of Cthulu.  I will gladly play the board games but RPGs are just not for me.  I tried it twice, just don't like it.

H ended up taking the boys away for the weekend so I could get some work done. I literally worked at the computer on a bunch of different stuff for 14 hours. I plugged away until my eyes couldn't focus anymore and I started making mistakes left and right.

And I am STILL not caught up. WTF. It's SO good that he took them. +1000 husband points.

I did get to sleep in on Sunday, though, and that was so awesome.

Next Saturday is booked with work stuff, but I'm hoping for good weather and an Arch visit on Sunday.

It is an awesome game. We've had it a few years now. You'll have to review it here once you've played!
