Uggghhhh.....I started to get sick this past Sunday and today is the worst of the days.  Just a bad cold....runny nose, clogged ears, sore throat, etc.  I am getting married in 2 days!!!  Today is the worst of it, so I hope I am getting better.....but to think I have to put make-up on on Friday makes me very very nervous!  Just my luck!!!!  ugghhhh....

Awe I hope you get better. :)  What do you mean you have to put make-up on and that makes you nervous?

So sorry!!! I was sick over the weekend and was just a guest at a wedding and felt horrible. Hoepfully you make a full recovery... or can dose yourself with enough meds that you feel like you've had one!

As for the make-up part, I think I know what you mean. At least when I'm all sneezy my nose gets all raw then the make-up chucks up on the dried skin and looks like boogeys. It's gross. I hate being sick.

    Oh no! That stinks :-(

Whenever I have a bad cold I take alka seltzer plus. The kind you drop in water and they dissolve. It really makes me feel so much better whenever I have a bad cold. A little loopy haha but it stops my symptoms for a while. Hope this helps and I hope you feel better ASAP!'

Also, if you're blowing your nose a lot, try to put face moisturizer under your nose to prevent it from getting red and dry :-)

I got sick before my wedding but loaded up on VITAMINS, tons and tons and tons of vitamins.. as well as constant nasal spray, nasal irrigation, and throat drops.  The morning of I still felt icky, but by the time of the wedding I think all of my adrenaline took over and I felt perfect.  The next day?  Hit by a truck.  LOL.   But the point being, medicate yourself heavily until that morning, and hopefully your emotions will kick in and you'll feel wonderful :)

Oh, and just in case.. find a way to hide some tissues somewhere in your dress in case of an emergency nose-blow.   Ask delicatefew about that one..!  eek.

I agree with ooodsie but the nasal spray. that stuff really gets your nose 'addicted' to it. So DO NOT use it more than it says, or the amount of days it says. I had not listened and it really took over my nose. I HAD to use it or I could NOT breathe out of it.   So just be very careful with nose spray. I swear I will not ever use it again bc it was hard to get my nose ok without it.

Thanks for all the suggestions!  I just can't flipping believe this!  I will take feeling like ultimate crap now though if it means I will be ok for Friday night :)  Fingers are crossed!

Yes, The runny nose and make-up...not a great combo ;)

You should go see your dr.  Maybe you need antibiotics.  You don't want to be sick for the HM, especially if you are flying somewhere.

This happened to us too!  DH was sick about 3 weeks before the wedding...and then I caught it.  I got a z-pack from the doc about 10 days before the wedding and was ok on our wedding day.  Then DH then got sick AGAIN the week of the wedding.  When we met up to drop off stuff at the reception he looked just awful.  He was maybe 60% the day we got married.  Poor guy had a runny nose as we were about to exchange vows and had to wipe his nose with the priest's handkerchief!

I feel your pain.  Wedding on Saturday and I've been fighting a cold for over a week.  I already went to the dr claiming sinus infection and he gave me the zpack.  Its done but I'm still feeling blah.  At least there isn't tons to do between now and then so I can get plenty of rest.

Hope you feel better!  Tomorrow will be a wonderful day and all the fun and excitement will disctract you from the blahs.  Maybe not so much dancing just incase it starts a coughing fit.
