Hey , I'm so sorry you r going thru this. Not seeing you on mother's day bc mother in law more important. Nonsense . Sounds like the gf is a chip off old block of mom. Sounds like sons gf is a well....brat. idk best advice other than talk to your soon about how you'd like to be with him more , or make plans to take walks, lunches , etc things that don't break the bank. Invite son and gf or if gf doesn't come just son. Start to do all you can to make effort to be with son away from this so he can make sure it's what he wants . You are his mother , you deserve to be held high

Re: ARGH! (Come chat in here.)
I'm a major stressball today. H's car won't start, and it's kind of a POS anyway, so we have to get him something else. Buying a new car is hell for me. It is so stressful.
So were sharing my car, and have completely non compliant work schedules, so were stuck begging people for rides, which I hate.
I have no idea when we can both go look for a car, the last day off we had together was probably the honeymoon. UGH.
Sorry to vent.

Hi Ray! It will work out. Maybe your H could go look at cars without you? You could just show up to sign papers?

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: ARGH! (Come chat in here.) : We're thinking about it. I'm really nervous because we have a good thing going with Rufus, and we're really punchy about disrupting that or getting in over our heads. But, it's a possibility. In Response to Re: ARGH! (Come chat in here.) : Most likely. These are the houndies we're meeting this weekend: http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/21649137 http://lostdogrescue.org/dogs-adoptable/27796/sugar-3

I really, really want a second dog but Hunter (3 y/o English Setter, former rescue dog) is so spoiled that I think he'd have a hard time. He loves other dogs in the neighborhood and his buddies at doggie daycare, but having to share his house and toys (and momma) with another dog would probably be harder on him that I think it will. He's one of those dogs that forgets he's a dog sometimes - not that he misbehaves - he's just used to being with the humans, doing what the humans are doing, eating what the humans are eating, and it's hard to keep that up with two dogs, and two kids half the time (FI's sons).
Hope you find the second furry love of your life and that your pup takes to the new pup well. It's really exciting, but kind of nerve-wracking too. I'd definitely be at risk of loving them both. I have no willpower when it comes to dogs.
Ray, sorry you're stressed out. Being one car down is never fun. Maybe you could discuss price point, type of car, etc and he goes out by himself. Before making a final decision, you can take a look at it too. On a different day if need be. *hugs*
Good luck with the car situation ray - that sounds really stressful.

[QUOTE]Thanks for the love guys! H is going to go after work tonight and look. I'm sure it will be ok. UGH I need to chill out.

Plus you get a new card out of it! That's kind of fun. What type of car of you guys looking for?

He was about 7 months old when I adopted him. His assumed birthday is the end of this month (don't know for sure since he's rescue), so he's roughly 3. I love him to pieces. We don't know if he's a purebred setter but he looks just like the setter I had as a kid. Not sure I want to spend the $ to have a DNA test done since it doesn't matter to me at all. I do know for a fact that he is a purebred, 100% goofball.

Yeah, he does the "thinking" pose quite well. In reality, if the dog has two brain cells in his entire head, they certainly aren't touching. He gets by on his looks and his charm.
Yay for invitations Chels!
[QUOTE]Woo hoo I just found out our invitations are done! I'm getting them tonight! So excited!!!!

I was beyond excited when our STDs were done. I did them myself, so it wasn't like there was any suspense, but just seeing them all printed and ready to go was really, really cool.

Ray, still here - checking now.
[QUOTE]In Response to Re: ARGH! (Come chat in here.) : Baked onion dip. Random, right? After talking with some of the other girls I thought it best to do an app. And guacamole was vetoed for some reason.

WTH vetoes guacamole?! Man I hope this is all worth it in the end Rach, it sounds like it's been a huge pain in the butt.
