It's my Friday

I'm quite excited for the 5-day weekend, even though it's going to be super crazy busy. (I took a vacation day tomorrow, and we have paid holidays Mon/Tues. Weird, right?)

My boss is out today until basically the end of February. She's in a total of like 5 days the next two weeks, and then she's out for 6 weeks for surgery. Work is going to be GLORIOUS.

I'm excited, because I'm meeting a friend for sushi after work too!

I feel like total garbage today. I have been sneezing all week, but didn't think much of it since people use all kinds of smelly shiit here that makes my allergies go nuts, but I guess I was getting sick. Woke up this morning feeling awful. I'm going to try to go home early but I doubt they will let me. If I'm sick on Christmas I'm gonna bepissed.

Anyway, that's all that's going on with me. I'm sad AHS is over for the season and need a new show to watch.

Mornings everyone. Today is a strange day for me. It's my last day at work until we move and I find a new job. I have been so blessed with amazing students and great co workers for the last 6.5 years so I'm sad yet excited. I'm not sure how the day will go. I'm really nervous!

We are all sick with sinus crap. And I have so much stuff to do today it's not even funny. We leave tonight, whenever Sparky passes out, for Louisiana, so it's going to be a really long day/night. But my sister is in town and I can't wait to see her this evening!

It is bittersweet. I'm on the verge of tears right now and I just woke up. I'm terrible at goodbyes and good at pretending like things aren't happening so I'm hoping my class doesn't have anything special planned. I had a phone interview but they need someone to start on the third. I'm going to wait until we get down there. It's hard job hunting from states away. I'll try to substitute as soon as I get down there until I find something full time.

Good morning, everyone.

Sesh - hope you kick that crud soon. H and I were out with a grody cold/flu a couple of weeks ago and I wasn't impressed with it. I will remain unimpressed with your sniffles and aches, and am giving a side-eye to Sarah's too. WTF...at Christmas!

Hike - good luck today. I'm sure it's very bittersweet, but try to focus on the sweetness of the new beginning. Goodbyes are always sad.

I'm exhausted today and wishing that I had today or tomorrow off. I have next week off (thank God) but we're travelling to NC to visit my dad for Christmas. Not much relaxation in the cards for me, I'm afraid. Ah, well. 'Tis the season!

Today is my friday too, and I am hoping to get a lot done because I need to catch up on my filing and get everything in order in light of me being out of the office until Jan 2nd. There arent going to be a lot of people in the office but if any of the people who are in come and bug me i am telling them off. Just because youre fucking the dog, doesnt mean I want to as well.

Yesterday we got christmas cards from our bosses, inside was a gift card. True to form the second we got the cards my co-irker messaged me wanting to know if I got a gift card too. I ignored that because I am sure if I answered she would want to know for how much and for where. I didnt have to avoid her for long though because she left sick at like 2pm. She has wanted to leave early all week (and has said as such).

I guess the universe's christmas gift to me is not having to see her for 10 blissful days.

Ha, was this to me? If so, I'm going to start calling myself Seahawks.

And no. We don't get sick days, we get PTO that we "earn" based on how many days we work. I have 3 days of PTO left in the year but they won't let me schedule them off since other people have taken time off for the holidays. They get super pissy if you call in sick, and then write you up. If I were to just send an email and leave without talking to a supervisor, I'd run the risk of being fired.

Morning all! I'm in for a half day today and then finishing some errands and baking for tomorrow.

While I have to go to work tomorrow, it's not really work. One of the guys sets up a big bake table (which I always contribute awesoem things to) and we stuff our faces with carbs. Then we have out year end communication meeting, then Christmas lunch at the Holiday Inn nearby, then we get to go home! Wheee!!

Get better all the sickies! I'm feeling better this morning. Still nowhere near 100% but anything feels better than the past two days.

I opened the shades this morning to discover IT SNOWED!!!! FINALLY!!!
I mean, it was only 1/2 inch that will probably be melted by the end of the day. But still! Yay!

Today is also my Friday. Tomorrow FI and I both have off and we will be laying around in our PJs watching Christmas movies all day. I am so excited.

I was reading an article lastnight about how all sorts of normally snowy locations (normaly december accumulation is like 50-70cm) had hardly gotten any snow at all (2-10cm). I want a scientist that can see the future to write those articles and say something like "because of this, this and this will happen" because I hate having to try to remember things months down the line and try to link them back to past weather events. I find it very interesting how stupid this winter is being for everyone though.

Good Morning Ladies!

I wish it was my Friday, too. Unfortunately I have to work a full day today and tomorrow. At least we have Monday off! I'm hoping our DOE will take pity on us and call a half day tomorrow, but I don't have much hope.

The boss may be out today since her daughter delivered a baby last night, and believe me I am hoping!

Steph - I'm with you - it would be GLORIOUS if my boss wasn't here!!

Good morning. I am feeling like crap. i have some sinus thing going on too, and I woke up with a horrendous sore throat. I took some dayquil in hopes it will help, but the headache is still raging.

My mom called me yesterday to tell me my sister was driving north from Charlotte to spend Thursday and half of Friday here before driving back. She isn't even coming for Christmas. She is only coming to collect some old things from my moms house before telling her that she never wants to speak to her again. She says it's ok because she will wait until after Christmas to tell her. Ugh, I don't know what to think of it. I know my mom causes a LOT of trouble, but I don't know about actually telling her she never wants to see her again. I just don't answer the phone and spend as little time as possible with her.

Edie- If I could only stay at work until I had to pee I'd be leaving for home now, and I don't start work until 9.

DJ, the PS chicks suck (the bad ones, the good ones are ok). I'm glad you don't have to deal with the stress anymore but fvck them for acting that way. I kind of hope some totally random person is named mod just to watch them freak out again.

Also, I get to go home early. Thank god. Just have to finish this site then I'm out.

YIO, that sounds so rough with your mom and sis, I'm sorry.
It's always so hard when parents are troublemakers. You love them (even if you don't like them very much), so it takes a lot to actually write them out of your life.
Has your sister tried to jsut talk to your mom about the problems going on (sorry if I'm being too nosy, I don't know the back story on this)?

Good morning! I hope everyone who is under the weather feels better, especially in time for Christmas!

Around here, there is a stomach thing going around. Multiple co-workers of mine have had it, as well as both my parents. H and I feel like barracading ourselves in our house to avoid getting it. I hate the throwing up kind of sick.

I'm on Christmas break! Yay! I have to go work out and finish some last minute errands for Christmas.. I REALLY should have done the grocery shopping earlier. I think the stores today will be an absolute mad house

Yesterday, I got my baby shopping done. Someone should really keep me out of Carters Outlet! I think I went a tad overboard. When I got home, the print we ordered from one of DH's pictures had arrived (canvas on demand, split print). I walked in the man cave looked at it and said "who's picture is that"? DH said you noticed that too, huh? It has DH's print on the foam they wrapped it in, but we have no idea who this belongs to.

Tonight, I have to bake and get the upstairs clean for our guests arriving tomorrow. DH's daughter, husband and grandbaby arrive tomorrow. I'm framing my favorite picture so far, for my DH and them. So Walgreens will be on the way home!

Morning ladies! It just dawned on me that H is picking me up at noon tomorrow to drive staight to his parents house for the weekend and I still haven't picked up the white elephant gifts we need. The building that I work in is across the street from a mall and just looking at the parking lot lately freaks me out. EVERYONE is there! Why I procrastinate every year is beyond me.

Sesh I feel so bad about how sick you are! I really hope your bosses tell you to go home and rest.

Good Morning!

Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning today. I've got to get it all done so i can just cook and bake tomorrow. I just realized that my H had moved a bunch of boxes out of storage and into the downstairs family room. i have no idea why so I guess back to storage I go. So if y'all don't hear from me.. please call 911 since I'll probably be stuck under a huge rubbermaid tote after falling down the attic ladder.
