Thursday Confessions!

I confess that I'm really losing steam to come to work everyday, as I just want to be at home working on wedding stuff!  Pretty bad when I still have a few months left!

I confess that FI want's to go out of town this weekend to visit his brother in Duluth, but I really would rather stay home.  We need to finish the redesign of our invitations & work on other wedding stuff.  We're going out of town in two weekends with friends & I think he's forgetting that our wedding is so close.  (He works every other weekend, so I only get him for wedding stuff twice a month)!  I just don't feel like I can give up two weekends right now & not get any wedding stuff done!  = /

    I confess that what happened at work yesterday opened my eyes to the company I work for. There is one certain person that needs to be fired for what they said/did and I know that all they are going to get is a slap on the wrist but the problem is that they just threw fuel to a fire and it's not going to be pretty at all. I wish I wasn't entagled in this whole mess by being an employee!

    I confess that all I want to do is sit out in the sun and put together invites, I do NOT want to go to work today I want to enjoy summer....

    I confess that this I forgot to get the mail yesterday so when I picked it up this morning, my marriage license and our first RSVP came. While this should be an exciting time, it made me want to vomit from my nerves. Eeeeek. Its going to be a looooong 79 days.

    I confess that I'm kind of excited that I got a sunburn yesterday. I'm not really sure why; maybe because I don't usually burn, and I've definitely never burned this bad, so it's a new experience. I guess I'm just thinking that it's there and I can't prevent it now, so why bother being upset about it. I'm working from home because I'm sort of afraid to shower and put on work-appropriate clothes, so I'm working from home today.

    I confess that today is my brothers 19th birthday and I have yet to get him something. Thankfully I won't be seeing him until tomorrow since I live almost 2 hours away. But right after work I need to get my butt to the store and find something for him!

    I confess that at 44 days to the wedding I'm pretty relaxed. We have some things to get done still, but I know it will work out.

    I also confess that I secretly wish the shutdown in MN was going to affect marriage licenses, so my FI would get to go one day at lunch and get married in Northern VA. I find that idea really sweet.

    I confess it pisses me off royally that there is no budget deal for the state yet.  And it makes me even more steamed that they'll go into a special session to get it done and the first thing they'll do is secure payment for themselves for the extra time spent. 

    Umm, in the real world, when you don't get your job done on time you get fired and if you're salaried and you have to stay late to finish something, you don't get any extra $$.  Meanwhile, thousands of their constituents have to file for unemployment because legislators can't seem to play nice in the sandbox. 

    GRRRR.

    Today marks a year til the wedding, and Whoa! (cue Joey from Blossom) keeps going through my head. I am proud to say I have nearly every vendor booked except hair and makeup, I have SO many freakin options available to me- I just have to make a decision. For now FI, I and my parentsd will continue to put money aside :-)

    I confess that I seriously expected to see a TGIF post today-  for some reason I keep thinking it is Friday!

    I confess to going to LOFT yesterday on my work lunch break and taking advantage of the 40% off everything. I confess I also opened a store CC so I could get an additional 20% off. It was AWESOME.

    I confess to not giving a fuuck anymore about wedding details. So sick of making decisions, so I am handing off projects left and right and trying to get others to make decisions, because I just don't care.

    I confess that politics in general piss me off. Or, politicians. How did everything become so polarized, and what is wrong with having a stance somewhere in the middle? I agree wholeheartedly with Witty.

    I confess that I am more concerned with ordering my STDs, guestbook, and pictures now that I have them, than working on my homework.. I NEED to get it done today though, otherwise I'll be working on it at the lake.. and that is not happening!

    I confess that with 51 days until the wedding, I'm feeling pretty good...and not as stressed as I thought I would be...however check back with me when I've got 2 weeks to go and it may be a whole different story. I confess that I'm just excited to marry FI and to finally be able to be a married couple  and have the planning be done with. I can't wait to have my life back! :)

    I confess that I am so relieved that we are not going anywhere this LONG weekend.  I am excited to attend the Twins game on Saturday and get so much wedding stuff done.  I also look forward going fishing on the lake right by our house.  It will be awesome to have a nice, relaxing weekend of not having to drive out of town.

    haha. I am on his side though, go out and have fun this weekend!  (Can you tell I was completely over planning my wedding at the end, I should be supportive of your ambition to get projects done :) )

    I confess that I'm getting really burnt out. With moving tomorrow, a bunch of guests who didn't bother to RSVP but are still planning to come (we had to track them down), and all my DIY projects, and a busy 4th of July weekend, I'm starting to get crabby. I never thought I'd tire of wedding planning. Well, I am darn tired now!

    Ha thanks Kayla!  I do get where he's coming from, since this is the first year he's had the 4th of July weekend off in the 6 years we've been together.  But he's just forgetting some things...

    - We're going up to the cabin with friends in two weekends.
    - It costs MONEY to go out of town this weekend & in two weeks.
    - He works every other weekend, so I only get him 2 weekends out of the month.
    - And our wedding is in 71 DAYS!! 

    Ok I'm done now!  = )  We'll see what we end up doing though.  I'm not saying we need to do wedding stuff all weekend.  I'd just rather stay home, so I have the availability to get a few things done here & there!

    I confess that I'm really getting sick of FI's friend from NY messing with our plans.  Everytime he comes into town there something that conflicts.  The last couple years he's come into town for Christmas and "guy's night" is ALWAYS on my birthday!  (Dec 23... I'm screwed no matter what.)  This time he's coming into town the weekend that I asked FI to go visit my family with me because we're celebrating my grandfather's 90th birthday.  I told FI that he can stay here and see his buddy, but I'll probably be a little pissed if he does.  It feels like a lose-lose situation.

    I also confess that I really REALLY want to quit one of my jobs, but I can't because it fits so well with my school schedule, and I don't want to go back to retail or something like that.

    I hear ya! FI has a couple friends that breeze into town last minute and kinda expect that he is free for them  whenever they want. I have started resenting them for this reason. They are perfectly nice people but a little presumptuous.

    I confess I am also sick of wedding stuff. I am nearing  the home stretch and have a long list sitting somewhere and I don't care! I feel like we are in a good position but maybe I am missing something huge...

    Also I confess I am so sick of having vertigo!! It started last friday and has been here to stay on and off ever since. It feels like I just spun in circles a bunch of times and sat down and am trying to function. Everything keeps moving counterclockwise though... I talked to my doctor and of course there is nothing they can do, I just have to wait it out! I don't want to wait it out, I am not a patient person. I want a magic shot to just make it all better!

    I confess that I'm having really snarky crabby thoughts about a wedding I was in recently. Mostly that the only complimentary beverages were tap water and punch. Come on, man. A pregnant lady in the wedding party can't even get a free Sprite?
