    I'll play.

What is the trait/habit you are willingly overlooking in order to marry/be married to your SO?
His messiness.  I am a total Type A personality and he is a very typical guy.  We've both had to bend a little and meet in the middle.

What is your least favorite smell?
That smell that comes from your drain when it gets backed up.

If you could have a drink with anyone famous living or dead, who would it be?
Oh man, I wish I had a profound answer for this...  I really don't.

Do you sometimes wish you could/should have chuck it all and elope?
I have definitely had my moments where I am sick of it all, but I've never had the urge to elope.  It would kill me (and our families) if they weren't there.

Who is more to blame for yesterday's Tiger's debacle? Umpire Jim Joyce or MLB for not allowing instant replay? Discuss.
MLB for not allowing instant replay / challenges.  Granted, he did make a very bad call.  But I've never understood why they don't allow challenges for when the call is incorrect.  I think its unreasonable to expect the human eye to correctly call plays in a split second and from some of those angles.

What was your favorite childhood toy/character/tv show?
Barbies / Tweety / Full House

Besides the whole getting married thing, what are you most looking forward to, or for the smug marrieds, what was your favorite part of the day?
I am looking forward to the part of the reception where we can just cut loose and have a good time with our guests.

    I'm game!

What is the trait/habit you are willingly overlooking in order to marry/be married to your SO?  His spitting.  Oh. my. GOSH.  It is so absolutely disgusting.  From the noise he makes to hack up the loogie to the most inappropriate times/places he spits.  He's horrifying.  We've been together for 4 years and it still makes me crazy every time he does it.  GROSS!

What is your least favorite smell?  Hmm.  I'd have to say the smell of throw up -- or rotting garbage on a hot day.  Both are enough to trigger my gag reflex.

If you could have a drink with anyone famous living or dead, who would it be?  Freud.

Do you sometimes wish you could/should have chuck it all and elope?  There were MANY times I wished I could have just scrapped it all and eloped some where warm and beachy.  But, not that it's over and done with, I'm glad I didn't.

Who is more to blame for yesterday's Tiger's debacle? Umpire Jim Joyce or MLB for not allowing instant replay? Discuss.  I've gotta go 50/50 on this one.  It's absolutely stupid that they don't have challenges and replays.  BUUUT, Jim Joyce has been an ump forEVER and that call wasn't even CLOSE!  If he couldn't see that it was an out, he might want to think about retiring because his eyes must being going.

What was your favorite childhood toy/character/tv show? Oh man, I'm not sure I had a favorite.  When I was little I loved the Smurfs, Rainbow Brite, and Punky Brewster.  Then when I got older I was a big fan of the TGIF line up (Step by Step, Full House, Family Matters).

Besides the whole getting married thing, what are you most looking forward to, or for the smug marrieds, what was your favorite part of the day?  I'd have to say my favorite part of the day was walking down the aisle looking and my hubby.  He looked so happy.  I was also carefully studying his eyes for any hint of tears or welling up.  I had a bet going w/ his brother.  I won $20 :)

What is the trait/habit you are willingly overlooking in order to marry/be married to your SO?
The fact that he watches what I eat, but then regularly gorges himself and complains he ate too much.

What is your least favorite smell?
Worms after it rains. Those little suckers stink when they surface!

If you could have a drink with anyone famous living or dead, who would it be? Marilyn Monroe. Soooo many questions!

Do you sometimes wish you could/should have chuck it all and elope?
YES. There were definitely times I wish we would have eloped. The more people crabbed about what I was or wasn't doing, and my family being aggravated that I wasn't "including them," but at the end of the day, everyone finally got that I wasn't a 20 year old bride who needed hand holding and STFU.

Who is more to blame for yesterday's Tiger's debacle? Umpire Jim Joyce or MLB for not allowing instant replay? Discuss.
Right after the game, I would have said Jim Joyce. After seeing the guy in tears because he knew he blew it, and the great sportsmanship from both Joyce & Galarraga, now it's definitely MLB. The guy made a mistake and totally admitted it without blaming someone else or being arrogant. People booed him today, and that wasn't fair. It's fine if they don't want to allow it for the entire game, but for plays like that, it seems antiquated to not use what is readily available. Get with it, Selig!!!

What was your favorite childhood toy/character/tv show?
To this day, Strawberry Shortcake is still my favorite. Not the skanky one they have out now, good ol' not stick skinny regular Strawberry. I also dug the Muppet Show. That was good TV. I also loved Saturday mornings on NBC- from cartoons when I was a kid to Saved By The Bell & California Dreams as I got older. I thought I was soooo bitchin' that I graduated high school the same year all those kids and the gang from 90210 did.  Cool

Besides the whole getting married thing, what are you most looking forward to, or for the smug marrieds, what was your favorite part of the day?
The best part was that, despite everything that went wrong (that maybe only a few people noticed/knew about), how many people told me it was the best or most fun wedding they had ever been to. And the fact that they were still complimenting/talking about it after we got back from the honeymoon two weeks later!

Not digging the whole "are you pregnant yet" shift in all conversations, though! I'm not, thanks. We've only been married 3 weeks- I'm not telling nobody nothing until we are safely in the 2nd trimester! Start asking in September.

What is the trait/habit you are willingly overlooking in order to marry/be married to your SO?  I am kind of particular about certain things.  He is learning, but the fact is we just don't see the world the same way.  I look at a messy kitchen and I'm disgusted.  He isn't.  I can ask him to do things a certain way for me, and he does his best, but he's just never going to really "get it," you know?  So I'm sure we'll always argue about stuff, but I love him enough that I'm willing to put up with some things not being my way.

What is your least favorite smell?  Cat pee.  I have to wear one of those medical masks when I clean the litter box or I'd pass out.  A cat peed on my couch once and I never could clean it to the point I couldn't smell it, so I threw the couch away.  Yeah, it's that bad.

If you could have a drink with anyone famous living or dead, who would it be?  good question...

Do you sometimes wish you could/should have chuck it all and elope?  About 4 months into planning, around Christmas time, I did have kind of a break down and seriously considered scraping everything and just eloping.  I felt like my family wasn't being supportive, and if they didn't care then I didn't care.  But since then, we've had a huge outpouring of support from FI's family and a lot of my extended family that I really didn't expect, so now I'm so glad I stuck with the wedding plans.  I'm very excited for everyone to be there with us!

Who is more to blame for yesterday's Tiger's debacle? Umpire Jim Joyce or MLB for not allowing instant replay? Discuss.  MLB.  Julie said exactly what I was thinking!

What was your favorite childhood toy/character/tv show?  I went through a serious bat man phase.  Strange, I know...

Besides the whole getting married thing, what are you most looking forward to, or for the smug marrieds, what was your favorite part of the day?
Right now - everything!  LOL!  I'm down to just a month and a half to go, and I'm getting super excited about the whole day.  I can't wait to see everything come together!  I don't know why, but I'm just a cloud nine right now.  Totally thrilled to be a bride. :)

What is the trait/habit you are willingly overlooking in order to marry/be married to your SO? His potty mouth. He uses the F word when I don't think it's appropriate sometimes.

What is your least favorite smell? Meat

If you could have a drink with anyone famous living or dead, who would it be? Probably James Spader.

Do you sometimes wish you could/should have chuck it all and elope? Nope

Who is more to blame for yesterday's Tiger's debacle? Umpire Jim Joyce or MLB for not allowing instant replay? Discuss. I know very little about baseball or the rules, but based on what I have read today, I'm going with the MLB.  True that it was Jim Joyce's fault (he made the call after all), but I think if even he agrees he was wrong, then there should be someway to rectify the situation.

What was your favorite childhood toy/character/tv show?  Jem and the Holograms

Besides the whole getting married thing, what are you most looking forward to, or for the smug marrieds, what was your favorite part of the day? Hanging out with my girlfriends getting ready for the day. That's always been my favorite part of being a bridesmaid, so I think it will be that much more fun when it's my turn as bride.

What is the trait/habit you are willingly overlooking in order to marry/be married to your SO?
He's a total mamma's boy...I love him to death, but do we really have to call your mother about everything we do?!? He talks to her multiple times a day!
...on the flip side, I'd rather have him be a mamma's boy than not have a relationship with her.

What is your least favorite smell?
Compost/grass clippings (the rot smell--not the fresh nice smell)

If you could have a drink with anyone famous living or dead, who would it be?
    Dave Matthews...I heart him!

Do you sometimes wish you could/should have chuck it all and elope?
At times yes.  But I must admit, I'm really looking forward to wearing the gown! :)

Who is more to blame for yesterday's Tiger's debacle? Umpire Jim Joyce or MLB for not allowing instant replay? Discuss.
The MLB, it's pretty much the only sport that doesn't have instant replay anymore...let's get on with the technology boys!

What was your favorite childhood toy/character/tv show?
I was a big fan of Tiny Toons and Tailspin...oh and anything Minnie Mouse!

Besides the whole getting married thing, what are you most looking forward to, or for the smug marrieds, what was your favorite part of the day?
Wow-I don't think I've ever thought of that until now---I think seeing FI as I walk down the aisle. :)

    I'll play too!

What is the trait/habit you are willingly overlooking in order to marry/be married to your SO? His impatience.  He has NO patience for most things.  I have a TON of it - nothing gets me worked up.  Sometimes I feel like he's being ridiculous because he'll get impatient and either get mad or walk away or whatever.....it makes me postal!

What is your least favorite smell? What comes to mind right now is dog poop because I HATE picking it up.  I want that ALWAYS to be DHs job!

If you could have a drink with anyone famous living or dead, who would it be? Jackie O.  For much of the same reason CulbyCheese wants to meet Marilyn Monroe - SOOOOO many questions!

Do you sometimes wish you could/should have chuck it all and elope? I felt this way a few days leading up to the wedding with all of the last minute details needed to be done and it was a little stressful.  But it only lasted for a day or so and now I'm SO glad we didn't!

Who is more to blame for yesterday's Tiger's debacle?Umpire Jim Joyce or MLB for not allowing instant replay? Discuss. MLB for not allowing the decision to be reversed today.  You can't expect an ump to see EVERYTHING EVERY TIME.  But now that everyone knows the call was wrong, why can't we reverse it?

What was your favorite childhood toy/character/tv show?  Barbie, Wonder Woman, Smurfs (I'm old!)

Besides the whole getting married thing, what are you most looking forward to, or for the smug marrieds, what was your favorite part of the day? I had the best time cutting our cake - I wasn't expecting it but....LOVED it!

I think that's all for now.

What is the trait/habit you are willingly overlooking in order to marry/be married to your SO?
Trait: He is a hairy beast. Seriously, he could give Wolverine a run for his money. I already feel bad for our future children (when/if/we have them). I have an easier time overlooking it because his hair is blond.

Habit: He's a clean freak and a coaster fanatic. Even if I set a glass down on our coffee table for a few seconds he's running over to put a coaster underneath it.

What is your least favorite smell? Candles that are not fruit scented. Like herbs or linen, they give me headaches.

If you could have a drink with anyone famous living or dead, who would it be? Well, Elvis for sure who's passed (or has he ;), I'm undecided for living....

Do you sometimes wish you could/should have chuck it all and elope? Yes. We've had this thought several times but knew we would regret it and so would our families.

Who is more to blame for yesterday's Tiger's debacle? Umpire Jim Joyce or MLB for not allowing instant replay? Discuss. I have no answer for this, I didn't watch. Embarassed But, based on your responses thus far, I would say MLB for not allowing instant replay.

What was your favorite childhood toy/character/tv show?
    Toy: Barbies
Character: I had a lot, I was a cartoon junky...
Show: As I said above, I was a cartoon junky. I was big on Care Bears, Barbie, Jem, Smurfs, Fraggle Rock, etc...Oh, Friday night line-up was another favorite when I was a little older. Then I got into the Tuesday line-up the WB used to have (Buffy and Charmed).

Besides the whole getting married thing, what are you most looking forward to? I would agree to walking down the aisle, I cannot wait to see FI's face because he's so adamant about not seeing me before the ceremony.

What is the trait/habit you are willingly overlooking in order to marry/be married to your SO? He is a perfectionist and it sometimes makes me crazy when I'm willing to look the other way

What is your least favorite smell? Vomit, animal or human its all disgusting

If you could have a drink with anyone famous living or dead, who would it be? Boy, there's a lot I'd love to talk with - Mother Theresa, all the Presidents, and Audrey Hepburn come to mind off the top.

Do you sometimes wish you could/should have chuck it all and elope? Noow that its over, nope- I loved our wedding day it was so much fun. But there were moments I considered it while planning.

Who is more to blame for yesterday's Tiger's debacle? Umpire Jim Joyce or MLB for not allowing instant replay? Discuss. Well, the Ump made the call but another point that H mentioned is that ball should've been fielded by the 2nd baseman and Cabrera should've been covering 1st. Would it have made a difference? Who knows but it was another mistake made in that play. So basically again its all human error and part of what makes baseball the game it is.

What was your favorite childhood toy/character/tv show? I loved my little pony, she-ra/he-man, and rainbow bright

Besides the whole getting married thing, what are you most looking forward to, or for the smug marrieds, what was your favorite part of the day? Besides the ceremony? Probably the trolley ride with the wedding party hanging out eating pizza, drinking beer and getting our pics taken. We were with our closest friends/family and relaxed and it was just very enjoyable.

What is the trait/habit you are willingly overlooking in order to marry/be married to your SO?
That he is messy. VERY MESSY.

What is your least favorite smell?
    Turkey Bacon. YUCK!!!

If you could have a drink with anyone famous living or dead, who would it be?
All the ladies on The Golden Girls!

Do you sometimes wish you could/should have chuck it all and elope?
During the planning process, YES. But not after my wedding day. I had such a good time! NO WAY!!

Who is more to blame for yesterday's Tiger's debacle? Umpire Jim Joyce or MLB for not allowing instant replay? Discuss.
MLB Commissioner Bud Selig. The commissioner had the power to overturn it, and Jim Joyce admitted his mistake. Selig had the power to call it a perfect game, and he didn't. However, I understand he didn't want to under mind the history of the game. It says: umpire calls are NOT to be contested or overturned. That's why there is no instant replay in MLB. Food for thought.

What was your favorite childhood toy/character/tv show?
My Barbie Dolls, My Cabbage Patch Dolls, and Fraggle Rock

Besides the whole getting married thing, what are you most looking forward to, or for the smug marrieds, what was your favorite part of the day?
Everything was just perfect on the BIG day! But I loved going on my Honeymoon. Aruba is great!!! It is one of the safest islands in the Caribbean. So beautiful and relaxing. I wish I was still there. I highly recommend it to those of you who are still trying to plan your honeymoon.

If you could have a drink with anyone famous living or dead, who would it be?
Freddie Mercury, deceased lead singer from Queen

Only if it could be somewhere exotic :)

Who is more to blame for yesterday's Tiger's debacle? Umpire Jim Joyce or MLB for not allowing instant replay? Discuss.
MLB. Joyce is human and one person can make a mistake and he even apologized and said he was wrong AFTER looking at a replay. Stupid MLB

What was your favorite childhood toy/character/tv show?
    Scooby doo!

Besides the whole getting married thing, what are you most looking forward to, or for the smug marrieds, what was your favorite part of the day? I am looking forward to my dad walking me down the aisle and seeing my FI's face when he sees me for the first time all dressed up :)

What is the trait/habit you are willingly overlooking in order to marry/be married to your SO?  He never puts the dishes in the dishwasher.  Ever.  It drives me nuts!

What is your least favorite smell?  Bad B.O.  Ugh someone came into my office at work today that had major BO and I had to leave.  It smelled even after they were gone.  Yuck.

If you could have a drink with anyone famous living or dead, who would it be?  Hmm, I'm going to cheat and name 2 people:  My grandparents on my dad's side.  They died before I was born and I always wanted to meet them and hear stories of my dad as a kid.

Do you sometimes wish you could/should have chuck it all and elope?  Not yet!  It hasn't gotten to crazy yet.

Who is more to blame for yesterday's Tiger's debacle? Umpire Jim Joyce or MLB for not allowing instant replay? Discuss.  I would say not allowing Instant Replay but at the same time, if a huge game is on the line like that, you don't make the call.  You just don't.

What was your favorite childhood toy/character/tv show? LOVED Saved by the Bell.  I was going to marry Zach Morris.

Besides the whole getting married thing, what are you most looking forward to, or for the smug marrieds, what was your favorite part of the day?  I'm looking forward to having a huge party with friends and family.

What is the trait/habit you are willingly overlooking in order to marry/be married to your SO?  his compulsive need to plan every single minute of every single day.  it's getting better - he no longer asks 'what's your plan for the day?' every morning, but it's still frequent enough that it's annoying.

What is your least favorite smell?
    rotting food/garbage

If you could have a drink with anyone famous living or dead, who would it be?
I'm going to cheat and pick one of each, Albert Einstein & Chelsea Handler

Do you sometimes wish you could/should have chuck it all and elope?
I'm probably the only one, but that is actually what FI & I have wanted since before we were engaged (since I was 15, and FI was married once before so he didn't care).  we were pressured into having a wedding (which we are paying for) and have still gotten a lot of grief about the majority of the descions we've made.  Twice we almost just ate the cost of the deposits to call it off so we could elope like we originally planned (the grief we'd get from that would be far worse though).  So, c'est la vie, it's almost over with, I can't wait to marry FI, and I'm just trying to get through this last bit.

Who is more to blame for yesterday's Tiger's debacle? Umpire Jim Joyce or MLB for not allowing instant replay? Discuss.
It's a little of both.  I don't have any new insights to add to that discussion that other's haven't already stated though.

What was your favorite childhood toy/character/tv show?
ooh, toys - barbies, cabbage patch kids, rainbow brite, strawberry shortcake, light bright, my fisher price record player and my little tykes kitchen.
tv shows, you name it, I probably watched it (shirttales, huggabunch, Jem, he-man/she-ra, snorks, smurfs, A-team, The Jeffersons, Facts of Life etc etc)

Besides the whole getting married thing, what are you most looking forward to, or for the smug marrieds, what was your favorite part of the day?
hmm.  I think, getting ready with the girls - and the party at the end.  :)

Sorry I'm late here, but I was busy yesterday and loved reading everyone else's responses!

What is the trait/habit you are willingly overlooking in order to marry/be married to your SO?
Trait: His height, I'm really used to much taller men, he's only a couple of inches taller than I am. Habit: He is unflinchingly a softie with his kids, and fails to appreciate how he's not doing them any good by his behavior.

What is your least favorite smell? To quote above, vomit. Hands down.

If you could have a drink with anyone famous living or dead, who would it be? I'd have to say my late brother. I miss him terribly, and would want to know why he took his life. He was only 12, and all we are left with are our assumptions. I'd also like my kids to meet him. He was sooooo special.

Do you sometimes wish you could/should have chuck it all and elope? Not in a million years! I've waited a very long life to get married and have a wedding.

Who is more to blame for yesterday's Tiger's debacle? Umpire Jim Joyce or MLB for not allowing instant replay? Discuss. This has me so angry I could spit! If Bud Selig = MLB, then MLB. He's a spineless, ball-less tool who had a chance to do the right thing (all the internet polls show 70-80% think he should have declared it a perfect game), and he failed miserably. DON'T get me started.

What was your favorite childhood toy/character/tv show? Toy: Barbie. Character: Tweety. TV show: Perry Mason (I know, I'm old).

Besides the whole getting married thing, what are you most looking forward to, or for the smug marrieds, what was your favorite part of the day? I"m looking forward to seeing Kevin in a tux, having him see me in my dress, and together seeing the plans we are making come together into the best party we will ever throw/host for our families.
