Round or Long Tables?

We are having a small wedding- around 60 people. We have the option of round tables seating around 8 people, or getting a bunch of rectangular tables and doing long tables. What do you think would be better?

  • I personally think long tables are super chic looking.  The disadvantage is when you sit at a long table you can only talke to the people on either side of you and the person right across from you.

My guest count is around 60 and we are having round tables, i think its more intimate, you can see and talk to everyone better and no one feels like they have been shoved on the end of the table and excluded!

I personally prefer round tables - but I'd say it depends on how big your venue is.  Sometimes round tables can get too crowded if there are too many for the room since there need to be more tables.
  • I'm also doing a small wedding with about 60 guests and I'm going back and forth with round or long.  I just recently saw a picture where the middle was a long table and then on both sides were round tables.  I kind of liked it.  Have you thought of that?
