I went dress shopping today, and really loved 2 dresses.
http://www.allurebridals.com/index.php?id=3&product_id=192This one is very light weight and comfortable. And it is cheaper of the two.
http://www.allurebridals.com/index.php?id=3&product_id=694This one photographed better. But, it was really heavy and I kept pulling it up. I realize it was a sample dress that was really too big, and that it would have a lot less fabric on my own, but I worry that it will still fall down. Oh, and it was about $800 more. The model is also a little creepy looking in this picture.
And I also found this bridesmaid dress... in red

Re: AW: Dress shopping
ETA: I am an idiot. Ignore me. I missed the first dress and was instead looking at the bridesmaid dress. I absolutely love the first dress. The beading is gorgeous.
I love lots of beading and details.
Of course. Ignore me, I was looking at the bridesmaid dress! HA! That's why I got confused.
I agree with Cate that it sounds like you like the 1st dress best. I like them both, but I think the 2nd may look your chest look really large if you are busty. It definitely draws the eye to that area.

I personally like the first one best. I also like the bridesmaid dress.

And the problem with this is??
Calindi, You're totally right. I didn't notice that until I re-read it.
SKP... I need all the help I can get in the chest area!! I asked FI if we could afford to add a boob job to the wedding fund, I can use some extra padding up there
[QUOTE]<strong>I think the second one is stunning.</strong> My two cents.

Agreed. It does seem like you have a preference for the first one, though
[QUOTE]I want to keep shopping. That is what I want to do :) This was my first time out, so I don't want to jump to a decision. I'm going out on Saturday to look with my bms.

Then keep shopping! If I were you, I'd make a Word document with pictures of the dresses you're considering and your impressions and comments (you won't remember as well after a few more dresses, I imagine). If you get that feeling of "the dress", then you can scrap the document and buy that dress. If you're one of those people who has to think about it, the document will help you see your impressions and thoughts.
I like lists, can you tell?

I think that is a great idea. I'll start working on it tonight! I'm horrible at remembering my thoughts.
And don't worry, I love lists too! I keep a running list in my day planner, on my fridge, in my purse, I'm constantly writing lists down!
