So fellow Bachelor lovers....MICHELLE IS GONE!!! (hopefully I'm not spoiling this for anyone!) I could hardly believe it last night. Maybe Brad will end up with our beloved Emily after all. Who knows. I'm just glad to see that Michelle is out of there. Thoughts, Comments, Predictions???

I don't watch the show so I don't care if you hate it lol. But I am a tad curious as to why you feel this intense hatred for it...

Sorry Paige! I know i't s completely ridiculous and unrealistic...but for some reason I am completely addicted. I know there are other's on here who feel the same...so just looking for a little conversation over our shared guilty pleasure!

So I just posted my list and then TK ate it. So here it is again:<div>
</div><div>1) Take 25 women, add one man...make them fight it out. Women are encouraged to fight (I'm not talking about physical altercations but you know what I mean) to "win" the man. Let's pit one woman against another (or 25) and see what happens. Let's encourage women to fight over men. Effed.</div><div>
</div><div>2) The standard woman on this show is text book "hot" or at least "attractive". I'm not saying other women aren't attractive but what I am saying is plus sized women need not apply. (Did you know, according to USAToday more successful relationships have been started on the Biggest Loser, than on The Bachelor?)</div><div>
</div><div>3) 25 women, one man and a few weeks to meet your soul mate. Generally speaking, not going to happen.</div><div>
</div><div>4) Making out. EVERYONE makes out. This is hilarious and ridiculous to me..."I feel a connection with X...and Y...and Z..." Better make out with them all to see which one is better. Lovely.</div><div>
</div><div>5) Drama. I would assume some is real (that's what happens when you put 25 room mates in a house and tell them to win the guy) and some is MUD. Bull.</div><div>
</div><div>
</div><div>Anyways, I had 10 but I can't take the time to type them all out. So here's my top five.</div>

<div>There is NOTHING wrong with guilty pleasures. I watch some pretty crap-tastic TV. It's totally cool. I just hate this particular show. lol</div>

You sound like me and my hatred of Teen Mom 2 (I liked Maci in the first round) and Jersey Shore. I have lost all faith in MTV having quality shows.

<div>I've never had to deal with those shows. Jersey Shore is only on at like 2 a.m. on weeknights and Teen Mom doesn't exist here. muahahahha</div>

Reason #468 to move to Canada ASAP.
It's a sad day when you realize that you've outgrown MTV.
I heard on z100 the other day that some girl came forward and said that what's-his-name? Brad? proposed to her a few weeks before going on the show... These guys are all major creeps!

I heard that somewhere too Lyz. I have no idea...and I really don't follow what happens after the show...but I totally get sucked in to the drama. Not really thinking it's a great way to meet a future husband...but it is entertaining!
Yes, this is a guilty pleasure. I admit I don't watch the Bachelorette because guys fighting isn't as much fun. They punch it out and are done. Girls are mad FOREVER!

[QUOTE]Paige and EKath - Teen Mom totally exists in Canada. We have it in Ontario at least. And Jersey Shore is on Thursday nights at 10 and 11 (I think? I don't watch it). As for the Bachelor, I also don't watch it. I don't have any real issue with it, I just don't watch. But what the heck kind of a way to spell Chantel is Shawntel? Maybe it's normal somewhere in the world, but not in my small corner of Canada.

<div>Well, Ontario wins (or loses...?) again.

ha - I actually had to look it up. I guess people are trying to get "creative" with names these days.
[QUOTE]Paige, I get what you're saying. It's a totally ridiculous show. I don't expect people to come out of the show and actually be soul mates. The sheer craziness of the people on the show is somehow entertaining to me? Idk. It's something to have on in the background at work. :) But precisely b/c I don't expect the relationship to work out, I hope Brad picks Chantal and not Emily. Emily has a daughter, and I don't think it would be right to drag a child into it.

I understand the crazy factor being entertaining. I watch Operation Repo...the craziness on that is what amuses me. For some reason the Bachelor bugs me tho. iunno

and Teen Mom exists in Ontario... unfortunately. My BFF loves it, ugh.
I feel like Michelle already has her wedding planned and booked though.

I LOVE Operation Repo! FI met the girl once when she was taking a flight out of some airport he worked at. I haven't quite figured out if that show is staged or not but it's still super funny to watch. I am also a fan of Cops. Only craptastic shows like Cops are still going after 20+ years.
I've never watched the Bachelor but I love me some Rock of Love, I love New York, or similar. They're all the same concept so IDK why I never got into it but I think it's because there's more crazy on the Vh1 shows. I think ABC has a bit more of a standard than Vh1 and their contestant selection.

No, really. I never liked MTV. I was one of those kids who popped out 30 years old.

Which one?! The sister or the daughter?! I think the sister (Sonya) is EFFED but the daughter (Linda) seems pretty normal...ish...
