11. Trolley

12. Rentals (linens and chairs only)

13. Tux rental with KC pickup and dropoff

I haven't gotten married yet, but here are the vendors I am using, all of whom have been awesome.

    Photography- Jim Powers/Powershots Photography
Flowers - Hy-Vee Floral in Mission, KS
    Cake/Caterer- Cupini's on Westport Rd
Day of Coordinator- Sharon Ivy at Sharon Ivy Events. I cannot give her enough praise.
DJ- Micky King at SoundKing Productions.

All of these vendors are reasonably priced and have been pleasures to work with so far. I hope this helps.

I'm not getting married until January but I've listed some vendors below that I've interacted with:
    1. Photog - One Tree Photography/Matt Frye  He is everything journalistic and super artsy/creative.  He loves using special techniques in lighting, color and angles.  We just took engagement photos and he was wonderful at making us feel comfortable, giving great direction, and making sure we were in the coolest locations in KC.  Look for reviews on weddingwire.com

    2.  Video - One Tree Photography does this service, too.  Also, check out Alea Lovely, personal friend of mine who does great videography.

    3. Hotel - I checked out the Westin and while they were offering a competitive rate ($129 room/$250 bridal suite in Jan), part of the agreement was that 80% of the rooms had o be paid for.  in other words, if guests chose not to stay there and numbers were low, the bride/groom are expected to pay the difference.  I ended up going with a Sheraton Suites on the Plaza (sister property) for $105 and 20 rooms...if we don't use them, the hotel simply releases the rooms.  I am not liable!  I LOVVEEE the Plaza and it may be worth a look.  If your sister wants to stay in mid-town, then she should also check out the Hyatt just across the street from the Westin.  I will say that at both the Westin (Corey) and Sheraton (Michael), the salespeople were very helpful and prompt - great service!

    4.  Make-up artist (travels) - I am using Jolie from Jolie Artistry.  Did a trial with her and loved her.  You can find reviews on weddingwire.com

    5.  Trolley - I am not using them but I inquired with Custom Limo and they were very nice and helpful

    6. Tux - We are going with a national chain, Joseph A. Bank.  They do tux rental but we are doing suits and they have QUALITY and good deals throughout the year (buy 1, get 2 suits free)

Have fun and congrats to your sister!
Wedding bliss since January 14, 2012!

We did not have a good experience with them, and I was leary about them because I heard a lot of bad things before hand as well.  But they are convenient and everywhere, so it was just the easiest choice.  They shipped 2 of our tuxes to the wrong store the day before the wedding and made us go get them and the guy at the store that day was beyond rude.

Oh and for flowers try out The Flower Girl or Monarch Flower Co, those were my top 2 choices and I liked them both.  I used Monarch though.

We're using MW at 95th & I-35. Hopefully that will help. We didn't have much of a choice because 6 people need to get fitted in other cities, so MW is super convenient because they are all over.
