So, 7 years ago on this date I went on my first date with FI. We saw "Elf" and then went for coffee at Dunkin Donuts. We were supposed to do something over the weekend, but never had the time and now we're both too tired to bother going out to dinner or anything. It sucks getting old. : )
What did you all do on your first dates with your H/FI/SO?
And how do you currently celebrate your Anniversary?
Re: Anniversaries
But our real first date was to Cheesecake factory. Amazing.
We always try to get to Martha's Vineyard on any and all special occasions.
RAWR!
Our dating anniversary is Halloween. We normally don't do anything besides basic Halloween celebrating and celebrate the following weekend. However he is taking me somewhere on Wednesday to celebrate. He won't tell me where and has actually given me riddles to try to figure it out.
Our first date was September 4th, 2007. We went to a really nice dinner, and he slept over that night.. It was amazing.
He proposed on Feb13th at the same restaurant (which is the anniversary of the day we met.)
As for our wedding anniversary, I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

ETA: I want to celebrate our Sexaversary!! Love that name. I don't remember the date though. Doh! Does anyone else?

I refuse to believe you have a bumpin' uglies anniversary.
[QUOTE]That's sweet! We don't celebrate our first date anniversary because you end up having too many damn anniversaries. First date, date you became a couple, date you became engaged, etc, etc. That's why we got married. One date and DONE!

Yeah, I won't be bothered with Nov 8th by the time next Sept. 16th rolls around.

We do. Lol. We don't TECHNICALLY celebrate. We just, well, ya know.
As I said, we're weird.
The night I consider our first date/outting together we went to a bar and I got completely wasted. Long story though.

[QUOTE]Our first date was dinner and playing pool. We met on NYE so our celebration is whatever party or thing we do that night. We'll say happy anniversary and kiss at midnight. I think we did presents in the first year or two of dating, but we don't anymore. <strong>ETA: I want to celebrate our Sexaversary!! Love that name. I don't remember the date though. Doh! I have no idea. I'm pretty sure I didn't know what the date was afterwards either. Wink, wink.
Gee, people are just so nice nowadays.
[QUOTE]I updated my FB status about it a while ago and someone commented "No one cared then and they still don't care now". Gee, people are just so nice nowadays.

Aww. We care! Happy Anniversary! :p
I don't understand why people think being assholes on FB is any different than just flat out being an asshole of a person.
Anyway, carry on. I'm enjoying hearing about all the saxaversaries and drunken first dates. ; )

The weird part is my ex-husband dropped me off and took our son to a friend of his for the weekend. And to make it even weirder the 13th would have been my ex and I's wedding anniversary. So yeah WE are weird.
We usually go out for a nice fancy dinner now. Any excuse for good food and drinks we wouldn't splurge on otherwise.

[QUOTE]Our first date was at TGIFridays. He had to drive an hour in a snowstorm. So on January 15th will be our 7 year anniversary. Well, there's only so many dates in a year. So just look at it that way, haha.
I stayed over (don't judge! I slept on the couch!) and we went out for breakfast in the morning after he took me to the pier to watch the sunrise. It was fairly awesome.
ETA: Our first date anniversary is the same as our wedding anniversary, so we just celebrate that. For our first anniversary, we went to the apple orchard...hahaha. So romantic.

YES! I'm NOT the only one..! Our is 7/22/2007. :p
We've never really celebrated in a big way for our dating anniversary just usually go out to dinner and such. I'll be interested/excited to see what we do for our wedding anniversary
We celebrate our anniversary with dinner, a personal handfasting ceremony (just us in our home), and then fun stuff!
FI and I went to a Mexican restaurant in Riverside (Jax, FL) on our first date. We didn't become a couple though for a couple months.
We don't celebrate dating anniversaries (mostly because I suck and don't remember it), but we will hopefully have fun wedding anniversaries.
And how do you currently celebrate your Anniversary? We usually exchange gifts, cards and go out to dinner. This is for our dating anniversary but I assume that our wedding anniversary will be celebrated in a similar manner.
