Did anybody watch 'Sarah Palin's Alaska'?
I read that it was one of the highest viewed TLC premieres. I'm by no means a political person, but I just don't like her. Especially in the previews where she says something along the lines of how she'd rather be out in the wilderness as opposed to some 'stuffy political office'. Yet, isn't she planning to run for a political office again soon? Smart.
Anyway, I digress....
Did anyone watch it? And what did you think? Is it worth watching just for the sheer silliness?

I didn't watch the show, but we watch a lot of outdoors and nature shows so I'm surprised FI hasn't brought it up yet.

Did you know that in Latin the "ae" combination indicates the vocative? So every time I read your SN I think "Of rainbow." The "ae" combo also makes the long "i" sound.

It cracked me up when right after the elections she decided to resign her (governal?) position. Gee, sore much? And THEN I read something about her talking about a possible presidential run. Yeah, when someone resigns from their initial political office, that makes me sketchy on whether she'd be able to even come close to handling the presidential responsibilites for more than a day (like she'd win anyway lol).
That comment about stuffy political offices just killed me. Really? You want to say that on national TV? Nice.
I really like John McCain, but Sarah? Ugh.

I'm defintely not always positive, hah, but I dont usually curse. I do like the visual of seeing me make rainbows though! I'm picturing it now!

I watched about 5/10 mins of it. The Alaskan scenery was amazing. That's all I've got.

Before the election, he was all grandpa-like and sweet. And for some strange reason, he became really unlikeable while he was running. Now he's better.
If you overlook the fact that he divorced his former model of an ex-wife after she was disfigured in a horrible car accident to marry the younger, prettier, wealthier and -- what else? oh, right! -- less handicapped version!
I loathe John McCain. He was the guest speaker at my company's most recent town hall meeting, where he ranted like a crazy person about out of control spending. Of course, when someone asked him about his plans to improve education in Arizona, he replied that all children in the state should have the option to attend the same kind of expensive private schools that his kids were privileged to attend. How, pray tell, does he expect to do that without (omg!) spending?
I was really sad that all questions were pre-screened. I had two queued up:
"Senator McCain, how do you reconcile running a campaign under the slogan 'character matters' when, in fact, you have none?"
"Senator McCain, are you sorry you unleashed Sarah Palin on the American people and do you have a plan for putting her back in her box?"
