This building has 850 apartments, registered or certified mail notices are left in your mail box if you're not there. When you get to your mail, you have a specified time to claim it in person at the local post office. Because I was in the hospital, I didn't even see the notice until the certified mail had been returned to sender, in my case the rent stablization board. They notify the landlord who obviously would love to get the rent stablized (cheaper) out. The first I heard about the entire thing was AFTER the landlord got the notice.
