  Personally, I love rice pilaf, you can easily get creative with it too.  Your menu doesn't seem boring.  We are having a buffet style meal, so it's a bunch of different things.

  IOK fine 'll be the one to say it.  Your menu made my cat yawn.  Figure out what you and your FI really like and what you would want to share with your friends/family--that is of course still within your budget.

  Is it seat down or buffet?
  If it's sit down, It's definetly not boring and you make a great point. Though your mom has a staff to help her, you don't want her to worry about food on the wedding day...

  Totally agree; the menu is fine if it is a sit down meal but you could add dessert just like Pasmita suggested unless you are having your wedding cake as dessert as most people do nowadays.

  I see why she said it was boring.  i am begining to feel the same way about my menu.  But when I chose teh items it was based on cost effectiveness and not wanting to have anything to EXTRAordinary.  Maybe you can throw something exciting in there jsut to spice it up a little.
