Getting rid of "armpit" fat/skin

I have always been a very busty girl, especially for my small frame. And along with a large bust, comes, armpit fat. I have been trying to years to get rid of it, because lets face it, wearing strap less attire of any sort with that extra baggage is not very attractive or appealing to anyone.

Any routines or exercises to get rid of it?

Edit: I plan on wearing a strap less as my gown, as well as I am a big fan of "tube tops". I have tried a few butterfly routines at a gym, but have seen no results even after a few months.

  • well....spot reduction is nearly impossible. but you can do some at-home things to help tone your arms.  here's 2 that i do a lot.

    1. tricep dips.  you can use either a chair or a staircase. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKjcgfu44sI

    2. arm circles.  I do this a lot while watching tv. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KPD7Mr7Yjk

    good luck!
  • I have tried everything to get rid of armpit "fat" and the ONLY thing I've ever done that actually gave me results was doing a cardio workout (to help get rid of some fat) and then an arm work out... And unfortunately I had to hit the weight room- I did bench press, flies laying on a flat bench, incline dumbell press, and inclune flies, and several other workouts that work your chest, and triceps. After a few weeks doing those, I saw a HUGE difference. Nothing else has worked.

  • I teach pilates on the reformer and many women swear that this is what helped them get rid of back fat and "the wave" under their arms.

according to my workout tape i watch on demand from comcast. she says arm raises are the best thing for that. Since I have the same problem, I keep doing them. Its working!! LIttle by little the bulge is going away. I may be calling them by the wrong name but basically you put your feet shoulder width apart for a good balance, then you take dumbells and start with them down at your sides perpendicular with your hips, then slowly raise them straight up to your shoulders. It really works. Then of course you do like 3 sets of these with like 8 to 12 reps in each set,  mixed along with the rest of your lifting routine. Push ups help too. Keep doing the butterflys also.
