I doubt I could carry 10 items but, I would grab: the dog external harddrive my camera purse my box of documents if possible my banjo my stuffed bunny from when I was a kid
I think thats it. I wouldnt be able to carry all of that though.
Haha CM I think we live identical lives. I can picture my FI in flames trying to shove the half melted tv down the stairs. And I might have to raid your home for #9
I'm guessing FI can get himself out of the apartment, so I'd grab:
1. Baxter 2. Scrapbooks 3. Laptop 4. Whatever work stuff I had home with me 5. Cellphone and charger 6. Dog's records 7. Our records 8. The wedding box (with all the wedding shiznit) 9. My purse 10. Change of clothes
1. Fat Cat 2. Dumb Cat 3. Laptop + charger 4. Spooky Fox (my stuffed animal from when I was 2) 5. Purse 6. Our memory box (mine and FI) 7. My favorite dress 8. My original signed Yellow Submarine production cel 9. My favorite shirt of FI's 10. A blanket
1. Max 2. Maggie's ashes and her box of stuff I saved 3. Wedding photos 4. laptop and/or hard drive (HD if all photos were backed up) 5. purse 6. medication 7. folder with our documents in it (or safe, once we have one) 8. all vehicle keys (I'd say H would do that, but he'd probably have to go to the basement to grab one or two bicycles) 9. great aunt's Bible 10. clothing to wear (my biggest fear is a tornado/other disaster and being on TV in my pajamas - I started keeping a "storm bag" when I was in middle school in GA)
My most sentimental stuff is in a very heavy cedar hope chest. I can't carry it; I can't help H carry it. Maybe I need to move Poor Baby to the basement with Maggie's stuff...
Do not mess in the affairs of dinosaurs because you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
I love you Missy. Even though you are not smart enough to take online quizzes to find out really important information. ~cew
1. Timon & Nala (the cats) 2. Keys 3. Phones 4. Laptop w/ charger 5. Purse 6. WATER (I always, always have a bottle with me.) 7.Cat food 8.FI would probably grab his xbox.. 9. Our picture box 10. Toothbrushes
"We should get jersey's, 'cuz we make a good team."
4. Important documents I may need (Renter's insurance policy)
5.My box of pictures
6. My Disney movies (Those count as 1 thing right?)
7. A handful of clothes out of the closet.
8.Toothbrush
9.Straightener
10.Shoes
Okay, so after 6, those things would make it out if I was really clearheaded. My disney movies get to come with because I lost all the one I ever owned when my house burned down...and those suckers are hard to come by (the old school ones).
This reminded me of a really funny story. My dorm did a fire drill once, and when I was the first out the door, when me and my friend came out, the RA said "Did you get all your stuff? This isn't a drill!" I said "Oh crap!" And went to go back inside to go get EVERYTHING. My friend just looked at the RA and said "Uh..her house burned down....for real." The poor RA was so embarrassed. I felt bad for her, but there's no way she could have known.

<div>I hope my question wasn't insulting. I am glad you are ok! Did you at least get a new wardrobe from insurance payments?</div>
In a real situation...my cat and external harddrive. Everything else is replacable. However in the sake of playing along...
1. My furchild 2. External harddrive 3. Purse (which would include wallet, ids, cards, phone, car keys, etc) 4. My wedding dress 5. A bag of clothes 6. My computer (in case there are any files I haven't moved to my external yet) 7. Old photo albums 8. Make-up (sound vain, but if I'm left with nothing, I'd at least want to look put together) 9. Important documents (insurance policy!) 10. anything else I could grab...
I don't think I would try and save anything. I lost and aunt and uncle in a fire. My aunt because she tried to save the dogs and my uncle because he tried to save her. So I am pretty sure I would jump through the nearest window.
Crash, were you in the home at the time?
Love is like infinity: You can't have more or less infinity, and you can't compare two things to see if they're "equally infinite." Infinity just is, and that's the way I think love is, too.

In reality I would never stay in the house long enough to grab all of that. I would just get the dog, purses and if I could photos and laptops (b/c they have so many photos on them). All our important documents are in a fireproof box, and I would just pray the fire wouldn't get hot enough by my jewelry box to melt anything. My rings would likely be on my hand so it would just be two necklaces that I would really really care about. One that J gave me on our 5 year anniversary and the other that my mom made for me from a star sapphire from my grandpa's pinky ring after he passed away - but the latter already survived one fire, jewelry is very resistant to heat.
my two dogs, their crates as many of my fi's mounts as i could get, they are his prized possesion, i really don't have any sentimental feelings towards anything i own
Nothing. It's all replaceable and all the valuables are either on my person or in the firesafe. The furbabies are important, but I am more important.
Sorry, but I work in a burn OR and we see horrible things. We have a patient right now that got the kids out and went back in for something. She wasn't burned and refused treatment. She had a (then unknown) airway burn and had to be admitted. At this point, she has lost at least one leg all the way to the hip. (disarticulation-google it) Do you think whatever she went back in for was worth it?
