In reality I would never stay in the house long enough to grab all of that. I would just get the dog, purses and if I could photos and laptops (b/c they have so many photos on them). All our important documents are in a fireproof box, and I would just pray the fire wouldn't get hot enough by my jewelry box to melt anything. My rings would likely be on my hand so it would just be two necklaces that I would really really care about. One that J gave me on our 5 year anniversary and the other that my mom made for me from a star sapphire from my grandpa's pinky ring after he passed away - but the latter already survived one fire, jewelry is very resistant to heat.
as many of my fi's mounts as i could get, they are his prized possesion, i really don't have any sentimental feelings towards anything i own
Sorry, but I work in a burn OR and we see horrible things. We have a patient right now that got the kids out and went back in for something. She wasn't burned and refused treatment. She had a (then unknown) airway burn and had to be admitted. At this point, she has lost at least one leg all the way to the hip. (disarticulation-google it) Do you think whatever she went back in for was worth it?
