What is an entertainment shower? Posted by banana468[/QUOTE]
I don't know what an entertainment shower is, so I can't help.
"Trix, it's what they/our parents wanted. Why so judgemental? And why is your wedding date over a year and a half ago? And why do you not have a groom's name? And why have you posted over 12,000 posts? And why do you always say mean things to brides?" palegirl146
Do you know that these are things they want? And how do you determine which movies or that they don't get 4 fondue pots?
I'm generally not a fan of "themed" showers. I'd much prefer to shop from a registry because then I know I'm getting the couple something they've chosen and I know it's something they'll really want.
Sorry, I don't really have any suggestions, but I think you need to find a way to avoid duplication and give a better suggestion than simply "entertainment".

Sorry-I just read that this is during a b-party, which makes it even more confusing for me. In our circle, b-parties are NOT gift giving events. They are a night for the bride with her WP and perhaps a couple of other close friends. But any kind of "shower"-entertainment of otherwise are not part of the event.

if you have no advice for the QUESTION that i asked, then why post? I have no idea why i even posted on here. i've been married for about 5 months now and stopped posting on here prior to being married b/c no one is helpful anymore on TheKnot. Its all about critizing what other people do instead of helping them with what they asked for help with. i just dont get it... every circle, every part of the country/world is different. if you're not a fan of something or your friends dont do that, then just ignore the post.
we like themed showers. the bride loves the idea of an entertainment shower. & we give small gifts during the b-party.... all our other friends have done the Pure Romance parties during our b-parties and we're tired of that so we're doing a murder mystery dinner and having an entertainment shower during the dinner in place of the Pure Romance party. i just simply asked for help with wording on the invite. the MOH and I can't find anything online so I figured I'd check w/ others. but i should have known better.

sorry suz, but you don't get to control what anyone writes as a reply. IA lot of times people toss out ideas, and then when they get replies are happy because it's something that they hadn't even thought about. Simmer down.

I know that. And i'm all about people tossing ideas... But a lot of times it's not ideas... instead it's people telling someone they are wrong for doing what they like or what they want to do. that's not helpful, it's mean & uneccassary.
