Groom's Cake?

I have started to look at groom's cakes for my July 2013 wedding. I am so lost! I am looking to get something firetruck/fireman related. We are having a huge wedding cake, so it doesnt need to be large. 

I've checked with a few bakeries in the central/north Jersey area- everyone wants about $500+ for  'custom' cake. 

Suggestions or comments????

    I got my groom's cake from Cake Fiction, based on a Knottie recommendation, and could not have been more pleased.  It looked amazing and tasted even better.  Paula is a genius with fondant.  Definitely check out her website!  The Scrabble board is mine.  :-)

    I am also using cake fiction for the grooms cake Paula was great to work with! I will not see the finally result until October tho but I'm not worried def check them out!
