So, back on black Friday, FI and I ordered our wedding bands (since we both needed sizes they don't have) and today we were back in the store for something unrelated. The lady recognized us and said that they have to cancel my ring because the vendor can't make it in my size. Sweet...
FI had to go up a half size on his as well since they didn't have half sizes of his ring...so we went ahead and got his.
So long story short I have to go find the receipt and get a refund because they can't get it in my size. I got my engagement ring from there as well (which was able to be sized in my size) but they don't sell the brand there anymore.
So I guess my question is, does anyone have any suggestions on where to get a white gold plain wedding band in a size 3.75? Or would I be able to go ahead and get the one I already ordered in their smallest size (4.5) and take it somewhere to get it sized down? Or is that impossible?
TIA

[QUOTE]It will depend on the style of band whether it CAN be sized down that much or not. A plain band, no problem. You can get the 4 1/2 and size it down. If it is something with tension set, pave or invisible set stones, you should get it in the correct size. I'd reccomend trying a local jeweler. They tend to be more knowledgeable than sales people at the chains. lots of times sales people will tell you what you wanna hear to make the sale- won't be the same at a little place where the sales people ARE the jewelers! If you can post a pic of what you want, I can advise you better.

<div>Then it should be able to be sized down.</div><div>
</div><div>However, it might be less expensive to order one in your size than to pay for the extra metal in the larger size AND the extra metal.</div>
[QUOTE]Do you have a local pawn shop? Plain bands are pretty much a staple of the scrap and pawn trades. Good luck!

I would follow this advice! But it's totally weird that they can't make a band in that size, ESPECIALLY as it's a plain one! Jerks.

Yup. I bought my ring in a size 7 (because I'm clearly a little stupid). I got it and it was quite a few sizes too big. One trip to the jewlery store re-sized it without a problem. If it's a plan gold band, they can definitely resize it to whatever you need.
Also - your husband ordered a size up. That's not good. My husband's was a smidge too large. One rainy day he was hit with water by a passing cab. In an effort to get cleaned up, he flicked his hand and the ring came off. He didn't even notice until a half hour later and it was long long gone on the city streets.
See how bands fit with wet hands or cold hands, then size it accordingly.

<div>I think your's are really tiny too! I'm a 9 - and have been for about a decade, no matter what my waist size was. Ugh.</div>

<div>Those are teeny tiny sizes! I used to work in a pawn shop/repair store doing sizings and whatnot. I probably only saw a handful of people with that small of a ring size.</div><div>
</div><div>5 something is on the small size too! 6.5-8 seems to be about the average.</div>
Though, I do wonder did you ask when you purchased your rings for that specific size and did they say they could do it?
I'm asking because my fiance and I just put our rings in layaway there and we ordered a different size than they had in stock for both our rings. I'll be super ticked to find out in a month or two that they cannot give us the rings in those sizes or anything similiar for that matter.
