My photographers/Videopgraphers are asking for a pretty detailed time schedule for the day, which I know I have to do but have been putting off :). Does anyone have their timeline put together, or still have theirs from there wedding? I don't know where to put things like parent dances, cake cutting, toasts, etc. Please share yours if you have it!

    Our timeline:

    Hair/Makeup - 10:30 am
    Photographer & Videographer Arrives - 2:30 pm
    Flowers Arrive - 2:30 pm
    Limos pick us up for the church - 4 pm
    Ceremony Starts - 5 pm
    Cocktail Hour - 7 pm
    Guests Seated - 8 pm
    Bridal Party Introductions - 8:15 pm
    First Dance - 8:20 pm
    Blessing and Speeches - 8:30 pm
    First Course - 8:35 pm
    Father/Daughter Dance - 8:50 pm
    Second Course - 9 pm
    Dinner Served - 9:30 pm
    Cake Cutting - 10 pm
    Garter/Bouquet Toss - 11 pm
    Last Dance - 12 am


    That was just off the top of my head but I think it's accurate and I'm not missing anything (:

    10am - makeup/hair stylist shows up
    1pm - photographer arrives, 'getting ready' pictures
    1:45pm - videographer arrives, put on dress, final touches
    2:15pm - head to venue
    2:30pm - first look
    2:45-3:30pm - outside photos - couple & immediate family & bridal party
    3:30-4:15pm - inside photos (to allow guests to arrive)
    4:30pm - ceremony
    4:45pm - cocktail hour
    5:00pm - introduction of Bride & Groom / military arch of swords entrance, followed by toasts
    6:15pm - first dance, dancing starts, dinner stations open
    7:30pm - father/daughter dance
    8:15pm - anniversary dance (in lieu of a garter/bouquet toss)
    8:30pm - dessert served
    9:30pm - late night pizza snack served
    11:00pm - release of floating lanterns, end of evening - take school bus back to hotels/B&B

    Hair Appointment - 9am
    Lunch - 12
    Makeup - 1pm
    Photographer & Videographer arrive - 1pm
    Florist arrives with flowers - 2:45
    First look - 3pm
    Family & Bridal Party pictures - 4-5:30
    Ceremony - 6:30
    Reception -  7 - 10:30
    Cocktail Half hour -7
    Dinner - 7:30
    Speeches 7:45
    Desserts ("cake cutting") 8:15
    First Dance - 8:30
    Father Daughter Dance - 8:40
    Mother Son Dance - 8:45


    that's how ours was supposed to go. The DJ went straight into the dances after the speeches (I think he did it because we were behind schedule), so later I just found my husband and the photographer and did the dessert opening with our parents.
