Chit-Chat Board

WHOAH! That board is insane. Cat fights, hilarious posts and some really snooty brides! I just spent the better part of the last hour lurking through posts.

Just want to say, BOY are we lucky to have such an awesome group of girls on the March board! I am afraid to even respond to any posts on that board!

I stopped posting in other boards because of this. I lurk from time to time, but wow there is lots of hate going around the other boards.

This exactly...we are all overwhelmed and stressed about wedding stuff, etc...but it doesn't mean we need to be hateful about things...I love this board for that reason..you all made it really comfortable to ask questions and I love that you all are honest...without meanness...:)

I was shocked at how mean some of these women were being!! If it was a legit argument then, I totally agree but to be mean for no reason is just awful!

I'm a fairly regular poster on a few boards, Chit Chat being one of them. The regular girls are not mean or rude. We just don't validate rude or bad ideas. Everyone that accuses us of being rude, mean, snarky etc was looking for validation about something and has not gotten it.

yea i havent been chewed out on any boards yet but soem of the things are ridiculous-like people come on here for advice not to get ripped a new one! If the March board wasnt so nice, I wouldnt post anywhere!

Yea, I've checked out a few other boards- the Latino board is almost dead, the Houston board is also surprisingly unactive or usually posting the same info, and I just got into the Student board.

Generally, my take is if I vehemenently disagree with someone, I just move along instead of trying to prove why I think totally different. If I have something I consider useful to add, I will. I also try to keep in mind how others may just do things differently, and that being okay.

I always find it a little nerve-racking to post in front of the whole world (I feel like I'm shouting in public lol!), so I try to be as helpful as I can to others when they pose questions. My writing style has definitely changed from when I started posting once upon a time.

Alright, end ramble. I'm just bored, I guess

I tend to say here but lurk on other boards. I like to read the wedding party board and see how bent out of shape some of the girls over there get about little things.

While I agree with what I bolded, there are times that the girls on there are just plain rude. It's usually because the OP said or did something dumb when they first joined, but some of those girls hold grudges and gang up on the newbies in an entirely different thread. I've seen completely innocent and not-so-dumb posts when the poor OP is torn to shreds for no good reason. While I think the b!tcheness is at times valid, I also think some of those girls are just plain catty. I can be this way too but it's usually for a pretty justified reason, so I'm not necessarily trying to be rude, I'm just stating the facts. I was a long time lurker on CC and posted there once in a while in the beginning. I'm not speaking from experience either, those girls never said a rude thing to me. However, I never felt welcome or comfortable chatting with a lot of them. Just my opinion I guess, but I would agree with the March board being the best. The sad thing is that I didn't even notice the March board until after a little while. I can't remember when I started posting here, but it wasn't right away in May when I joined - maybe June? Anyway, totally off topic. I agree with some of what you're saying Hoboken, but I also agree with the OP in this thread. That's all. :)

I usually stay on here and I post quite regularly on the Military Brides board.. the FL board is pretty inactive and mostly the same questions over and over again. I've never really lurked on the other boards..

Oh I totally agree that some of the OP's on that board were whiny and annoying but I just don't see a reason to be mean to them.
