I ended booking a concierge level room at Sandals Grande in St. Lucia April 2010. The wedding is free and it includes alot of stuff (ceremony, reception for the couple and 2 more people, boquet, boutenniere, etc) plus the resort is all inclusive. Hope this helps! Good Luck!

  I am using destinationweddings.com and have been very happy with them.  Before I contacted them though, I had gone to an in-person travel agency and got a catalog of resorts in Mexico and the Carribbean.  I then researched online the resorts in the locations that we were interested in.  Most resort website have wedding package information too.  I'm happy I did that pre-research before contacting dw.com so I was more informed about our decision.Welcome to the board and happy planning!

  Welcome to the board!  We're doing a U.S. destination wedding because there were a few people we really wanted to be there, and we knew they'd never agree to international travel.  We chose Savannah because we have visited there before and loved it.  Is there anywhere special that you and your FI have been, or have always talked about going?

  The best way to get started is to determine what destination you want. Do you want to do a beach, cruise ship, Vegas, etc..? That's def. where you want to start first. I think once you have that decided and where you want it things should be able to fall into place better for you. Def. take advantage of everyone here....you'll get lots of suggestions and references I'm sure of others who had wed where you decide.
