The Wedding Chapel- review of visit- who else has been there?

This saturday I took my friend, who is getting married in December, to the Wedding Chapel in Crystal.  We were at David's Bridal and she was getting so frustrated with their selection that I told her "David's Bridal is not the be all end all of the wedding industry". So we headed out from the Maple Grove location and I brought her to the Wedding Chapel.  We didn't have an appt but they were able to help us (although appts are suggested on weekends). Monica was a huge help, asked a lot of questions about the dress and was able to find both a tiara and veil that she loved (so much for being indecisive! everything else she saw she just went "eh" to).I am planning on returning for my own gown shopping now- has anyone else been here?  What was your experience like?  It looked like they had a great variety of gown styles and number of dresses to try on. Definitely had a large veil selection- without Monica we would have been LOST. There was one dress I could not take my eyes off of- and even though we didn't have an appt- they were able to squeeze us in.

I found my dress there.  I have had nothing put outstanding service.  They also didn't seem to mind that I came back four times before I purchased it with different groups of people.  It's funny I also had a bad experience at David's Bridal where I left and went to the Wedding Chapel.  They close at five on weekends so go in early.  The store is not huge but there is a HUGE selection.  They are very helpful which I definitely couldn't say about David's Bridal.  Couldn't say enough good things.. LOVE THEM.

I bought my dress there as well and had a great experience. They were very patient with me and I ended up finding a dress that I absolutely love. http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?line=m&page=27&style=S5094HPI don't know how to post pics but when I found this dress I was sooo excited. And I didn't even need any alterations. Score! So far all the employees have been great and I felt that they had the biggest selection of any places I looked at (davids bridal, dena marie, angeliques to name a few).

I just bought my dress there too.  I think their service was great.  There was questions about what color trim my dress came in.  They called the desinger to check to make sure it came in grape. I got to try on alot of dresses, so fun.   I also just found my bridesmaid dresses there.  I had troubles with Davids Bridal too.  Happy shopping!

I just ordered my dress from The Wedding Chapel last Wednesday!I felt like a kid in a candy store - they had so much to choose from, and they were so patient. I pulled out so many dressed to try on that they open up the door between two dressing rooms, making it into a suite of sorts. The customer service was definitely great. I also went to David's Bridal, The Wedding Shoppe and Napier Bridal. This was by far the best service I had received while trying on the dresses. The only negative - they don't tell you who made the dress until after you purchased it. And even then, they are very secretive about giving out the style number. They "couldn't find" a picture of my dress, which made me very concerned the next day (after I had given it some thought). Hving only the designers name, I searched the web for about an hour trying to find the dress --- with no luck. I contacted them the next day, and they had the designer e-mail me a picutre of the dress and the stype number. It's discontinued, which is why I couldn't find it anywhere.

I was surprised at how much time I was able to spend at the Wedding Chapel- overall- very good selection- a ton of dresses. Kitzy03- I saw your dress.  Good to hear they are legitimate Maggie Sottero's and not knock-offs.  I thought for sure they would have been since the tags had all been removed.  I just don't understand why you wouldn't promote fabulous lines like Maggie Soterro (which i found two that I loved- Reese and Karena). Reese is one that was on Who's Wedding is It Anyway- and I had told myself that it must not be the real deal if they've taken the tag out.  I bet the consultants do not like having to explain why the tags are ripped out and how they can't tell you what designers they carry.  I would think a store would take pride in stocking such a reputable designer.Right now they're having a "trunk sale" when I asked what line it was I was told it was a line made special for the Wedding Chapel- strange thing is though- one of the dresses I loved is an Impressions bridal dress. It seems like there should be a law against tag removal until purchase- just like with mattresses. Maybe I'm just really strange.  I just don't understand what all the secrecy is about (besides having them not want you to shop the competition)

I too was amazed that there were no designer names or sizes in the dress. I did end up buying my dress from there, which I love. But, was hesitant at the get go. I had no idea which size to purchase or if they were telling me the correct measurements. I assumed that they might try and get me to buy a larger dress so that I need to have a large amount of alterations done. They couldnt even tell me what size of the sample dress that I tried on. The manager did call the company to see what size they sent them. Hopefully its right because the sample fit me perfectly!
Overall, they had a large selection and the ladies there are really nice to work with. I hope I made the right decision as it was a little sketchy from the get go.
