recommendations for wedding bands?

Hi all, we live in Chicago, getting married in my hometown of New Orleans. But since we're up here, it makes sense to get our wedding bands here. My engagement ring found us at Broadway Antique Mall. It's a 1/2 carat sapphire with two itty diamonds set in white gold. We're looking for just plain jane bands. Thanks in advance for any places to check out!

my fiance went to a friend of a friend at Jeweler's Row on Wabash, let me know if you would like his information. They aren't like a typical retail store. They sell wholesale to the stores.

Novori.com!!! People are afraid of it because it's online. But you get such a great selection for such great prices because they sell to you direct and not through a retailer. They have a 100% money back garuntee (sp?). So u can get it appraised or whatever. Everythings certifies and you get all the documents with it....

Bluenile.comMine                              His        Seriously.  DH had to return his ring 6 times because he couldn't be bothered to get his finger sized IRL.  The return system is soooo easy and fast! Customer service is great!Mine fit perfectly on the first try because we already knew what size I was.But if you're set on going to an actual live jeweler... I had a great experience at Stanley Brown Jewlist in Lincoln Square.  I bent a prong on my platinum e-ring - they fixed it quickly and for significantly less $$ than I expected.  They have a lot of different ring styles (and a cute dog behind the counter!). They also do fund-raisers for animal shelters (they're just cool people).

When I first read this I thought I was going to give you a recommendation for a wedding (music) band. I have heard a lot of knotties using blue nile both on this board and on a few others. I was looking in my photographers blog the other day and saw some New Orleans weddings she has done and that city looks so cool. I went back to get the link for you. http://heatherparker.com/blog/2009/05/08/new-orleans-wedding-photography/My fiance bought my engagement ring at Windy City Diamonds and I am sure they have all sorts of wedding bands. I have gone in there to get my ring cleaned and they are so nice.

We're going to get ours at the same place we got the e-ring--leber jewelers on Erie and Franklin. They're a green jeweler and donate money to human rights activities and environmental causes. Check them out! leberjeweler.com
