Rave - Sandals Grande Ocho Rios (long)

So, I've been meaning to post this for a few weeks now - we honeymooned at Sandals Grande Ocho Rios from June 7th-14th and had a spectacular time!  I remember when we were trying to figure out where to go, I looked here for advice on Ocho Rios and no one really had much about it - so I thought I'd come back and leave a review for any other brides thinking about staying here.At arrival, they give you a cool towel to refresh yourself and if you are concierge or butler level, they take you to a private room, gave you champagne.  We were checked in within 10 minutes and all we had to do was sit and drink our champagne - it was great!We booked a concierge level room - it was honeymoon plantation villa with pool.  There are 4 suites to a villa that share a private pool.  The whole week we were there, there was never anyone else in the pool with us - we never even saw any of the other couples in our villa use the pool.  There were also big whirlpools scattered around the villas - oh and there were hammocks everywhere too - those were great to just lay on and relax!The pools are fantastic - my husband loved the main pool on the manor side - oh, there's two sides to the resort - the manor side (hill side) and riviera side (ocean side).  There's also the beach on the riviera side - we went there once, but because my husband likes pools better than the beach, we stayed mostly on the manor side at the main pool.  The bartenders at the swim up bar there are fantastic - great service, always with a smile.The food was really good - there are a ton of restaurants to choose from - we really liked Orchids - definitely go there one night if you stay here.  We also had a candlelight dinner one night - would definitely suggest you book one - the service and food were great, and it was really romantic.  I think that about sums it up - we really had a great time and would definitely go back again.  I wish we had been able to get the butler service, but it was all sold out by the time we booked our vacation.  With the butler service, you have a butler pretty much at your beck and call all day - a few other couples we met had it and really raved about it.  For our next vacation we'll do that for sure!  If you have any questions, you can email me at jmwilson1982 at hotmail dot com and I'll do my best to help answer them!
