bachelor parties...

So even though we're not getting married til November, FI's bachelor party is this weekend b/c of his new job... this is the last weekend he'll have off until the wedding.  His best man is being ridiuclously selfish like to the point where everything he suggests FI has NO interest in at all.  He even said "We can't do this or that b/c she won't let me" talking about his gf.  It looks like BM will be with them Friday night but not Saturday night.  FI is trying to think of something to do Saturday night (his groomsmen are from OOT so they can't make the plans).  So does anyone have suggestions?  Married ladies, what did your DH do for his  bachelor party?  TIA!

I'm probably not much help - my DH went to Lakeview for the weekend and golfed all weekend.  Hanging out at the bar at night.

My DH's bachelor party was going to a Stillers game. That's what he wanted, though! Our joint party was Dave and Buster's.What about the traditional strip joint thing (if you don't have a problem with it?)? Or a bar crawl in Southside? I'm not good at thinking up stuff for men to do!

Kristin, Dave and Busters will be the first stop Friday... then South Side.  Strip joint doesn't bother me at all... FI doesn't want to go but wouldn't mind going either.  I think he's decided "we'll see how the night goes... if we end up there... ok!"  lol. Thank you!

My DH is more into everyone hanging at someone's house - playing beer pong, corn hole etc, than hitting up a bunch of bars.I know friends of his have done the strip club thing, baseball games, sports bars.

FI is insistent that he wants the ice rink rented out for an hour so that he and his boys can play (there is only one GM that didn't grow up playing hockey with the rest of them, and FI is prepared to duct tape him to the other goalie net for sh!ts & giggles). i can't remember for sure-but i thought you said awhile ago that your FI was a huge hockey nut also. it might be a good suggestion! they'll prob rent out ice castle or blade runners for an hour. not sure how they go about doing this, but he insists that it can be done. hey, he would know better than i would!orrrr...they could see if there's a pickup game going on that night-there usually is at ice castle. so instead of renting they could just go play for an hour and have some fun. baseball game is also a good idea, IMO.

Erica, that's exactly what FI wants!  He wants to grill out, throw horse shoes, corn hole all that fun stuff.  But the problem is we don't have a place to do that all.  I mean they could do it at our house but we live with my parents :/  And since his GM's are from out of town their houses are not an option.  I've told him they could do all of that stuff here... so it's an option but not a fun one!  lol

Jennybean- you are correct... FI is a huge hockey nut.  Actually... only one of FI's GM's doesn't play hockey too!  I'll see if he'd be willing to do that.  Thanks for the suggestion!

if he wants to grill out and throw horse shoes for the day, what about going to a nearby state park? like settlers cabin, or south park, north park, etc. they can set up their stuff, grill, and hang out.

oooo there you go! i think FI figures that even though his one GM doesn't play and never has, he would have no problem having a good time, hanging out, and looking like a goof trying to skate while the others run circles around him. he is SO excited to do this, he doesn't want to hear any other suggestions!! he told his brother all he wants is for him to implement the plan, put on his goalie gear and get on the ice. i'd like to sneak in and get pics of them all being so cute in their hockey stuff...hahaha!

My DH went to NYC, so that's no help!I was thinking South Park for like a picnic - most groves have horseshoe pits and they are pretty inexpensive to rent.  You just have to make sure you get an alcohol permit though too!
