weird registry items

Re: weird registry items

  • Our close friends are getting married next month- they registered for legos.
  • It was a joke, but DH thought it would be funny to scan a code red mountain dew can on the Target registry. Everyone knows he's a fanatic about it, so it was funny. He ended up getting a pack of code red too, by one of his groomsmen. :D
  • I looked at Joshua Duggar's (of the 17 Kids and Counting) wedding registry, and there were sodas and all kinds of random crap on there.

  • My friend registered for sprinkles (jimmies)
  • FI's cousin registered for a bunch of small things like extension cords, superglue, scone mix, and a bunch of others that I can't remember.  I found out at the shower that she got bored with registering for stuff, and they needed to purchase certain items, and she just started scanning random things that she didn't actually want.  I found out the hard way when she opened my gift and exclaimed "Ugh, I forgot I registered for this stupid thing"

  • Qwerty, that's harsh!  but, seriously...those are some pretty good things to register for.  Not scone mix, I guess, but super glue, wall hangers, extension cords.  Stuff that you'll need to use the other fancy stuff you registered for.

While registering my FI was walking around with a glitter bouncy ball. He decided to scan it to see if anyone would notice. His best man did...I think we will end up with a lot now haha

  • My Fiance is 10 years my senior but still young (32) but we decided to be funny & register for Men's Depends (adult diapers). everyone just knows us to be very humorous people, so im sure everyone will get a good laugh. Also, while we were registering at Target, I left for 5 minutes to use the restroom and I came back and he had put on "The Perfect Push-up" & a weight scale! If someone presents me with a scale at my bridal shower, ill kill.
  • I have registered for and REFUSED to take off a pink bone doggie bed. Everytime the registry is brought up my FI always laughs and tells me he can't believe I registered for it. I usually win over the keep it on/ take it off arguement by telling him that we get a discount after the wedding if we buy it. However, I think my MOH is going to buy it just to make my FI cringe lol :) I think my dogs would LOVE that bed!!!
  • I registered for a nice digital bathroom scale, but no one got it for me.  One of my BM said it was weird - I didn't think so, we need one!  (As a background, I am pretty petite and always have been so I don't think it would have been viewed as weird or rude...)
  • we registered for monkey bread cake mix. someone ended up buying it for FI for his bday, and not off the registry. i did look at random registries once, and i saw someone register for this little clip that turns your regular bra into a razorback one... a little too close to underwear to put on your registry, I think.
  • I think the most random thing we registered for was a Pedi Paws. You know, the doggie nail file thing? It would make our lives so much easier. *lol* we actually registered for a lot of stuff for our dog. The weirdest thing I've ever seen anyone else register for was probably tylenol. I thought it was funny, though.
  • We registered for hostess cupcakes on our target registry!  Hope I get some since they are my favs!
  • My friends brother registered for his grocery list, aluminum foil, dog food, kitty litter, zip-loc bags, 100 packs of Reece's Peanut Butter Cups ... yea
  • My FI made us register for candy and chapstick. When I protested, he told me I was "not thinking outside of the box!" He has it in his head that most people will want to get us a normal present and then a "fun" present. (not sure how chapstick fits into "fun" but ... men and their ideas). We'll see if anyone get them for us. I think the strangest thing I ever saw on a registry was one of my friends registered for KY Jelly. And one of my other friends bought it for her.

A friend of mine registered for a $.49 cent ramekin.  Only one...not even a set!  lol
  • We registered for Shamwow, but it was one of the first things something bought us. We also registered for a sliders hamburger grilling pan, which my family seems to think is weird, but I really want.
  • My college roommate registered for Skittles and printer ink.  I think she got both!  Why not?
  • We registered for a sewing machine & a desk chair among other more practicle things....and we got them!
  • We registered for Shamwows and a Monkey themed bathroom. FMIL is pretty excited about it...sike.
  • My FI added the hour glass timer from Pottery Barn I think it’d be funny if we actually get the silly thing.

  • We registered for knorks at BBB....they're forks with a sharp edge so you can supposedly cut meat with the edge of your fork. I'm not really sure how you don't cut the side of your mouth though!
  • We registered for some fancy cat toys and cat outfits.  Everyone knows that Jordan used to hate cats until I finally convinced him I needed a pet because he works nights a lot so I'm left home alone.  After we got our cats he turned out to love them even more than I did!  We even registered for a bottle of scotch and a bottle of wine ;)

  •  We didn't put anything crazy on there but our friends that were recently married put BBQ sauce, a 6 pack of Gatorade and a hot wheels place setting.   My friend, the bride, didn't even know that they were on there and was a bit shocked when she opened it at the shower.   I was her MOH and she just looked at me confused, I had to tell her it was on the registry.
  • a sonicare toothbrush! however, as the daughter of a dentist, it wasn't that weird to me! haha!
  • FI and I are planning to register for this AWESOME Spongebob Lego set that we saw at Target.  I don't know if he knows that I'm serious, but I am.  I'm excited!!
  • My cousin and her FI registered for gardening clogs and headlamps. Oh, and pillows/blankets/camping chairs from a college that neither of them went to.
  • A friend of mine registered for mountain dew and mouthwash.
  • Teddy Bears. We thought it was a tad creepy. I mean, how old ARE you?
  • A coworker registered for a monkey-shaped fruit/veggie peeler that just showed up on the registry as "monkey peeler".  Now every time I go to Target, I end up seeing it there and laughing!
