Recommend your DJ

Hi~I am looking for a DJ company that is reasonably priced.  I need them to do a 20 min ceremony and a 5 1/2 hour reception.  My wedding is in Lemont so I would prefer a DJ in the suburbs (I'm not crazy about driving downtown).  Please tell me what you liked about your DJ.  Thanks!!!

    Hello!We haven't had our wedding yet, but we're using Spencer, from Style Matters DJs. I have seen Spencer spin at another wedding, and he was referred to me by  a great friend. He IS on the north side, not in the burbs, so that's the only thing for your requests. Our wedding is in Mokena and he's coming out there - I went to his place for the initial meeting, and it was very cool. He's a real DJ, so he knows how to play one song into another w/o missing a beat. My FI rented some of his AV equipment at a wedding Spencer was spinning at, and let me tell you, when we went to pick up the equipment at the end of the night, that dancefloor was JAM-PACKED!!! I wanted to bust a move so bad, but it wouldn't have been appropriate for me to do so. I cannot stand the typical wedding DJ...I don't want the (what I believe to be) cheesiness, can't stand it. And, after being referred to him, and checking out his website, I KNEW with 100% certainty, that he was the DJ for us!!!His sound system is amazing as well...soo...if you have anymore questions, you can shoot me an email kathleenmcvey (at) yahoo (dot) com.

    Mike from MDM Entertainement.  Haven't had my wedding yet, but I really like him and he is very dependable.  MDM gets a lot of recs on here

    Robert from MDM Entertainment was wonderful.  I'm not sure where the company is located but he came to our house to meet with us.

    After searching, I finally decided on Sounds Abound entertainment. They are located in Naperville so that is pretty close to Lemont.  They have an awesome website where you can watch all of their djs on vidoes at actual weddings so you get a feel for their style. They have 24 to pick from! You can also select all of your must play and do not play music online from the day you book until up to your wedding which I thought was very convenient! The prices and packages are all online for you to see before you go in to meet with them as well! Good luck with your search! Check them out at www.soundsabound.com

    we're using Toast and Jam - our caterer, our photographer, our wedding planner - all recommended them and we loved them during our 1st consultation....
