changing your colors

how many times did you all change your wedding colors before making your final decision? I've changed 3 times already..and continue to see things in other colors that catch my eye! ugh. I wish I would stick to a decision already

Re: changing your colors

  • I was tempted once, but i stuck with my original choices, I love the color red.
  • I never really had any "my colors" to begin with, so not once. I keep liking more colors, and add them in where I want.So far i have champagne, red, brown, gold, purple, orange, mustard yellow....
  • my colors have not changed, unless you count turning white into ivory a change :)
  • I like to think we have more of a "feel" than "colors."  We're going for a semi-formal springy wedding, so our main colors are light aqua and gold and pink.  But we'll probably use some other pastels.  We're going for coordination, not matching.

  • Haven't changed at all.
  • I always thought I would go with a shade of purple.  Instead, I'm going with a springy green, a bright pink, and orange accents.  Go figure.
  • I went with a style more than set colors. All paper products were green, copper, and ecru, but flowers were lilac, ivory and green, BM dresses were pink and blue. It worked really well together but nothing was too matchy matchy.

  • I agree with the other ladies - we are going more for a feel than for specific colors. Most everything is in varying shades of sage green and a dark chocolate brown, but our flowers will be in varying shades or red, orange, burnt yellow (like a deep mustard?), green, deep purple, etc.  Both our ceremony and reception venues are filled with old, dark wood and dark brick so we wanted things to look warm and cozy rather than match perfectly.  And we're getting married this October so we went with more rich tones for the season.Don't stress too much about colors - no one but you is going to notice if everything isn't in the same color scheme as everything else.
  • I picked a color, added one from my dress, then added another one for a pop because the palette was blah.  I didn't change my palette but it was a progression.

  • We had a couple of color changes. We finally settled on what we liked and went from there.
  • I changed it twice. I was going to do traditional red & gold, then I nixed it and went with lavender and chocolate.THEN I threw it yellow and pinks. Voila.
  • I changed my color palette multiple times.  I just made my final decision last week and we're now going with rose pink, sage green, and champagne.  It originally started out as turquise, black, and white.
