Knottie vibes (not bad)

Please send some knottie vibes my DH's way. He stands to win $350 in a Biggest Loser contest at his work today. He has lost 35 pounds and is in 1st place. It will be the 2nd time in a row that he will have won the contest that they do every year. I'm proud of him. And excited for the great meal that we'll get with some of that $350 after he wins! Kthx!

Thanks, ladies! Part of me gets soooo jealous of him when he drops 35 lbs. like (snaps fingers) that, but when it earns our two-person fam $350, I'm ok with it.

I'm really hoping for Ruth's Chris. I have been craving their food since someone on the board went there a while back. Mmm... steak in butter.

Interesting, Dori!! I'll have a talk with my DH and you do the same. But I wonder what the minimum weight has to be. Plus, all Mike does is run. He does 10 sit ups and he collapses. :P

Uh oh...that's true. I'll bet DH isn't the minimum weight either. He only needs to lose about 20-30 lbs, not the hundreds they usually lose. ::off to come up with more $$-making schemes:: ;-)

I *think* that for Biggest Loser you have to have at least 100 lbs. to lose.

Right now, if Mike lost 100 lbs, he'd weigh 100. :P

I retract my previous statement, 35 lbs>$350.  I would pay $350 for 35 lbs to be gone from me!

Many vibes but also congrats to your DH on the weight loss, that's great! I wish my workplace would do something like that, not even just for the money but for some sort of support. But it's the opposite around here, people pig out on bad food all the time, I hate it.

Yay! So has he lost 70lbs total? :) I hope he wins!Karen, we used to do it at my work. (I never participated because I can't lose that quickly). They had teams and people would always try to get the flabbiest people with will power on their teams. Even better, everyone would eat like crazy before the contest to bulk up. And lastly, people stripped down to their underwear on the final weigh-ins to loose weight. Crazy!

No, Kwynn, he gains the weight back after he wins and then loses it again. It is pretty nutso, but at least it is only once per year. :P
