  I would find it and buy it somewhere else, then go in and talk to her manager and tell the manager why you bought it somewhere else.

  I have yet to step into a bridal shop (although i did go to a rent a dress bridal shop and they were great.)
  
  That is why i am trying to buy off Ebay or off line. The people are so pushy, snobby or what not. And I don't want to deal with attitude from anyone at a bridal salon.

  There is definitely a piece to this story missing, because what I have in my head right now is the scene from "Pretty Woman" where she walks in the Rodeo Drive boutique right off the street, wearing her hooker clothes.
  
  Now I'm not saying you were dressed like a hooker lol, but I've never had anything but gracious, helpful attitudes from bridal consultants, and I'm no Ivanka Trump either.

  Jenny Love, I was thining the same thing about Julia in pretty woman. I would go ge the dress elsewhere and walk in with and be like "ha"

  Well I also wonder if it had more to do with not having an appointment. Some bridal stores welcome people to just come on in, but the majority want you to make an appointment, so they can spend time with each bride.

  I don't understand why salesperson would not want to make commission on a $5,000 dress? I assume you were a serious buyer and not just going in to play dress up. Also, most bridal shops require that you have an appointment, not just walk in off the street.
  
  Hopefully, you can find the dress in another shop to try on.

  I was thinking Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman too! Which is why you should do the same thing, go get the dress somewhere else and then go back and let them know and make sure a manager knows how you were treated and they lost the sale because of the snooty consultant at their salon.
  
  I'm sorry this happened to you, the only thing I can think of being a problem was that you didn't have an appointment, but that still gives this lady no right to treat you that way.

  First of all I was wearing nice dress jeans, flats, a collared shirt and blazer. Secondly I found out she was the OWNER of the store and third of all I understand I didn't have an appointment, it was on a Thursday, the store was empty. There was no one else in there. And all she had to say was yes we do carry the dress it's 5000, but it would be soo much better if you made an appointment to come in and try it on. But I have gone elsewhere and have had wonderful results.
