CANDY TABLE: HOW MUCH? HELP!

I have seen so many different answers to this question. I am doing a candy buffet. I have 8 different containers (went a little crazy) Invited 180. Expect about 150. How much candy do we REALLY need?

    better in my opinion. that way your buffet looks full and colorful instead of sparse... I ordered probably 80 lbs of different candies. 12 different kinds and flavors

    Several different sites I've looked at have said 1/2 a pound per guest. They can get insanely expensive.

    I guess it depends on how big your favor bags/boxes they will be putting the candy into will be.  I saw another persons idea of where you fill a box/bag to see how much you will need and then times it by the number of people you want to feed.
