Where to take engagement photos (with a dog)?

We are thinking of going to Point Beach or another park along the Lake Michigan shore...I don't want all my photos on the beach, so I was wondering if anyone knows areas near these parks that would be great for photo opts as well.

Also, any ideas are welcome.

    We're going to head to Jacobus Park in Wauwatosa for pics with our dog. The location was a recommendation from our photographer, but we live in Tosa so it made sense to do photos there. Our E-pics are in less than two weeks; I can let you know how it goes, if you'd like.

    I love Point Beach State Park!  If I was still in Manitowoc I would have my e-pics there as well.  Part of the Point Beach bike trail goes through the woods or you could do some in downtown Two Rivers or downtown Manitowoc.  How about the Lincoln Park Zoo in Manitowoc or even Lincoln Park itself?

    This is a link to dog parks in Manitowoc.  Blue Rail Trail will take you to the lighthouse by the marina.  Lower Schutte Park is wooded, I believe.

    We took ours at Grant Park (seven Bridges). They turned out great and it has a beach and wooded areas to take pictures at

    jberg134 has great suggestions for the Manitowoc area! If you want to do some on the water and some off, Silver Creek Park is also on Lake Michigan but has some nice wooded areas as well, and a small playground which could make for some cute shots.
