A PSA...

... to you all you brides who haven't sent out your invitations yet.

P R O O F R E A D   P L E A S E ! !

Just got a wedding invite in the mail yesterday, and I love these friends dearly but they apparently missed the proofreading memo. The invite is complete with "Your Invited!" in huge letters at the top, and apparently "the favor of a repy is requested" by November 12.

Please please proofread your invites, because people do notice when you don't.

That is all.

  • I know. We invited them to come over this weekend and I think I'm going to put the invite away before she comes up. I don't have the heart to say anything to her.
  • I think I spent more time reading and re-reading and re-re-reading my invites than I did actually designing them. I was soo paranoid of something like this happening.
  • Aw man - that stinks!  Extra eyes always help in situations like that.
  • Ouch.

  • Okay kids, I've got to get in the shower and get ready for work. I'll be back in an hour when I get to the office. At least it's Friday, and it will be just me + one coworker all day. I'll probably be slacking off on TK all day. :)
  • Oh man!  That's terrible. Just yesterday, the episode of Everybody Loves Raymond where Ray and Robbie screw up Robbie's wedding invites was on.  This made me think of that.

  • Okay, I'm at work now.

I forgot to mention, when I showed it to H last night his response was, "well at least they didn't send registry cards." Hehe.
  • I think it's good advice anyway AK, and it's important to have a fresh pair of eyes.  Sometimes you can reread something and just not catch it yourself if you're the one who wrote it.

  • Oohhh that sucks. But still not as bad as an invite I got with the word "marriage" spelled "marriadge" several times throughout the invite. It wasn't a proofreading error, just a spelling one Undecided
