Possibly no Maid of Honor...

I have had a best friend for 16 years and she is going to be unable to be in my wedding or even be there for big reasons. There is no one in the world who could replace her and i really dont want a "fill in" so if the best man did his toast and then maybe I did a thank you for joining us on our special day speech right after would that be too weird?

    There is nothing saying that you need to have a MOH. It would be silly to put somewhere there just because. I think that only have the best man give a toast would be great!

    Just have your BM give a toast.  I promise you that no guests are going to leave your wedding saying "Darn.  The wedding was really nice, except that weren't enough speeches."  =)
